My son was recently a patient at Oak Hill. The staff was wonderful. The physical therapy was tremendous. I would recommend this place to anyone. Super impressed. On a scale of 1to 10 I give it a 10.

I have been a medical consultant at Oak Hill for several years in addition to many surrounding facilities. Oak Hill is well managed and their staff is knowledgeable, kind, and respectful. The nurses and aides are always willing to step in and offer a helping hand when needed. The patients are well cared for at all levels of medical need. The facility is smaller than others offering a more intimate setting and higher level of personal care.

The other night I wrote a review that was not very nice. This is my third time in this facility. No place is perfect. There must be a reason I keep returning. The other night I had a problem with one of the staff. I was very upset. I spoke to one of the therapists about it. The next morning, they stepped in to help rectify it. Before the day was over, they had me speaking to the director of nurses. She listened to every word. I am a tolerant person. I don’t like causing trouble. I was not nasty while speaking to her. She listened to every word. Within a few hours she had the problem resolved.I have not had a problem since. If I need rehab care again this will be my choice. My main reason for returning is the therapists. This is not necessarily a high end place. Being high end does not make the place any better. It is the people who work here.

This place needs shut down. I get overwhelmed when I list the reasons why so I have to do a formal outline. 1.As soon as you walk into the place, it smells like an outhouse overturned on its side. 2. No central air. Only window air conditioners. So that means one patient has the loud buzzing noise and the air blowing directly on their face , while the other patient is sweating to death. 3. The worst CNA AND LPN I EVER MET. They acted like you were bothering them if you asked for help. My dad was in there for REHABILITATION, but wasn’t allowed out of the bed without assistance. I WITNESSED him pressing the nurse button when he had to go to the bathroom. The CNA came in and start yelling, and I quote..”he’s wearing a diaper, just go in that”!!! I must add, my dad didn’t wear a diaper prior to this. GET HIM OUT OF BED!!! Ugh! 4. My dad lasted 4 days in this facility and was steadily DECLINING. I asked them to please get him an ambulance to the hospital for an evaluation. They faught me hand and tooth. Threatened me I’d owe $407 for every day he was in the hospital. Almost as a way to deter me from taking him for help. Anyways, I got him to the hospital, he was put in icu with severe pneumonia and an uti. He died 5 days later. They have not reached out to me to see how he is doing and if they know he died, I did not get ANY follow up call. Steer clear from this place. Once I pick myself up from this grief and tragedy, I WILL BE CONTACTING THE STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT! I also believe they alter the paperwork when you request it. And yep, I will get them on that also!

My dad was at Oak Hill twice and received very good care so when I needed short term inpatient rehab I went there as well. I was there for three weeks receiving PT and OT and made progress very quickly. I was discharged and just got home a while ago, found myself better able to get around without breaks. Staff is very good and very helpful; everyone knows everyone. Much of your success depends on the work you put in, but staff is always very encouraging. I would (and have) recommended Oak Hill. Thanks to all, especially Ashley, Matt and Justin!
