THE PEARL OF HINSDALE

My Mom has been here for rehab, this is her 5th time. She LOVES the therapy department (a special shout out to her regular therapists Ula, Diana and Anna!) Mom always enjoyed her therapy time with everyone in the dept. My folks were very pleased with her nursing care! A shout out to Val, Tammie, Paula, Charia, Ozzie and to her CNAs: Aidan, Faten, Angelina, Tina, Star,. I apologize if I forgot names! Thank you to Karina for helping us get Mom transitioned from the hospital to the Pearl. Thank you to Sean (Admin) for always being available for questions we had. Mom always commented on how clean the facility was and that the food has improved since her last stay. I know this is long, but this all needed to be said. Mom is doing well at home thanks to her care from you all!

My wife had a fantastic experience with rehabilitation after knee replacement surgery at the Pearl of Hinsdale ten years ago. She was so impressed that she insisted on returning there for her other knee replacement surgery. We met with Ms. Karina, the Director of Admissions, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The Physical Therapy team was exceptional, with my wife giving special recognition and kudos to Ms. Vaishali Patel for her expertise. The nurses were also very compassionate and caring. However, there were a few areas that needed improvement, such as the lack of a dedicated freezer for ice packs which are absolutely necessary for relieving pain, NO food and drink options after 5 pm, and cleanliness. Interestingly, ten years ago, the facility offered complimentary coffee and drinks, which was a nice touch.

I was looking for a rehab center for my dad and this place was recommended. I came in without an appointment to check the place out. Karina came out within minutes with a smile on her face and gave me a tour. Her knowledge and professionalism was a make factor in my decision to use this facility. Hopefully we never need this again, but with staff like Karina and Jose, a social worker, I will use this place again. My dad stayed on the third floor. Staff was exceptional, food needed a little work.

The staff is great, they seemed to work together well and cared about their patients. Walking down the hall Mid-morning, they spoke with patients in each room we passed. The Activities Director was excited to tell me about the activities they have scheduled especially a new program that a patient initiated. However, the facility is old and in need of renovation. It was clean and they were actively cleaning when I got there it just wasn't the bright inviting environment we were looking for at this time.

People at The Pearl of Hinsdale are incredibly compassionate, welcoming, and help improve the moments of everyone involved. It starts with a very warm greeting upon entrance, and continues to radiate hope and positivity throughout the organization.
