Sunterra’s facilities and staff are both absolutely amazing! From the moment you arrive, you can feel how dedicated everyone is to creating a safe, comfortable, and genuinely supportive environment. The staff truly goes above and beyond to care for their patients around the clock. You don’t just see them doing their job you can feel that they care.
One of the things that stood out most to me was how personal the care felt. You really get to know the nurses, and they take the time to sit with you, talk with you, and walk you through whatever you’re experiencing. That personal touch makes such a huge difference when you’re healing or going through something challenging.
Their attention to detail is exceptional. Every single person receives the time, patience, and individualized care they need. They check in often, make sure you’re comfortable, and ensure you have everything you need at all times. Not once did I feel like I was just another patient or an insurance number. Instead, I felt seen, supported, and treated like a real person who mattered.
Sunterra helped me feel normal again and for that, I’m incredibly grateful. I can’t recommend their facility and staff highly enough. Five stars truly doesn’t feel like enough!

I enjoyed my stay and came away a little fatter(food was excellent) and I ate my share of snacks as well.
I don't know the names of all of the people I interacted with.
PT and OTC was great. Mike and Martha helped me a lot.
One CNA that helped me a lot was the heavy set short blonde(maybe a different color by now) she worked Wed night 11/27.
All of the nursing staff did excellent and only a few times not so much with bladder Spasms as once every 4 hrs does not address all of the Spasms I was undergoing but water under the bridge now.
I will see you again if I have to surgery on my left foot in couple of months

Mom was here for 1 week for wound care. In a week, she never EVER saw a doctor until her last day. She was discharged from the hospital with the instructions to check wound regularly, and they could even manage to do that until her last day! Then they had some doctor who was obviously NOT versed in wound care because he basically told my mom.she was going to lose her foot! She had no one there for her when she was told this, and she was hysterical when she called me. Sent her to the hospital to out NOTHING was wrong! All that for NOTHING! They should have specialists who actually know what they are looking at and dealing with! Then there was the matter of them being EXTREMELY UNDERSTAFFED the entire time she was there. When I went to leave after 4 pm daily, there was not ONE EMPLOYEE in sight to be found. I would have to hunt for someone. They day I found someone, I asked them about checking my mom's wound. They had told her early in the day this would be done well by 4:30 that still had not happened, so I found someone and asked. The lady said her nurse he was at lunch and was going to do it when he came back. I once again STRESSED the importance of this since she was there for wound care. The next day late afternoon, I came, and they still had not bothered checking her wound! So they just lied when they had zero intention of checking her! This is just completely unacceptable! You cannot BOTHER checking her for what your place is supposed to be able to care for?!?! Then i would go daily, and there were needle caps strewn o her floor and I the bathroom. I actually slipped and almost fell in the bathroom on them! With all the needle caps, it looked like there was some big drug party! I mean, where is housekeeping?!??! Well, that was obviously non-existent! When she came back from the hospital the next day, they returned her to a dirty room and never checked her when she brought her in. They left her for hours in soiled clothes! They were so wet they felt like they just came out of the wash! What kind of care is that?!?! When I came in, I told them they needed to do it immediately. We kept hearing voices that sounded like they were coming from an intercom, but they did not have one. Well, it turns out one of the aids had lost the walkie-talkie, and they were in my mom's diaper!!!! What they heck?!?!? This place does not know how or is able to take care of anyone! I kept telling my mom how the carpet in the hall was frayed, and I had tripped a couple of times but thankfully had not fallen. Well, I came in one day, and my mom told me that one of their elderly patients had tripped in the carpet, fell into the cabinet, and had a large knot on her head! To make it worse, no one, as usual, was around, so my mom's visitors had to go to this lady's aid!! I would never ever recommend a place like this. It is dangerous, and they just don't have the staff to care for people. They would never get my mom out of bed because they didn't have enough equipment and when the equipment was used it would be left outside patients door so they could use it to put that person back when needed. Essentially, rendering it unavailable for others who needed it! They should have used it, and if that patient did not need back in bed right away, they should have used it to assist others! I read the reviews before my mom went here, and they were bad! My mom had little choice because the place she wanted to go was full. Thank goodness we were able to move her to an excellent facility before something worse happened to her! Also the parking is a nightmare here. It's like when they built the place, they did not intend to have staff let alone account for a set number of visitors for the patients. Even one of the staff told me that when they came there to work, it was great and top-notch, then about 6 months again, it rapidly went downhill! Thats from an actual employee who also admitted they did not have staff to help patients! This place only has 38 beds with that small number, they still can't handle it. State run places get better care!

Do NOT send your loved ones here. My husbands grandmother was here recently. They ignored her pneumonia. They plowed her with narcotics and lied to my FIL about times. Said they called several times at 6:30pm, but he spoke to them at 6:45pm according to his call records, and they never mentioned anything. They then proceeded to send her by ambulance to the nearest hospital, it was full, so onto the next. It was THEN, in the second ambulance, that my family received notice of this. And not by the staff or doctors, but by other family members who received panicked calls from our loved one in their care as she had no idea what was going on. This place could have very easily caused her to over dose, and then sent her on with no care to inform her family. You’d think that’s it right? Absolutely not. They then only called my in-laws the following day to inform them that they would hold her room for only $500/day for every day that she is gone. Wow. How thoughtful of them. My family told them they would be up later that day to get her belongings because if she does get a miracle and leaves the hospital, she definitely will not be returning to Sun Terra. If your loved ones are in their care, I suggest not leaving their side!

Best place to go!! It seems only the sour patients post. I’m here to tell you you will not find a better place for care! I’m here with my Dad everyday for three weeks now and can’t stress enough the care is exceptional!! The guy that cleans, David and Jan are very attentive to the room and cleans it like a professional, the Kitchen staff are great, Sharon is the amazing Manager that takes the time to come out to the cafeteria and see to everyone and help those that need it with the menus. The food is restaurant quality!!! Truly very very good! The permanent CNA’s are caring and responsive to needs, all are a treasure. Jamie in PT has been pivotal in the progress my Dad has made and is the most amazing person. The administration staff can’t be any better, they too are exceptional. Lastly the Nurses, wow! Always above and beyond, so attentive and caring. One more, the Executive Director Elena is key, she does an incredible job managing this place and have even been in the halls tending to the needs of patients. I know this is long but need to express my endearing gratitude to all at SunTerra Springs!!!
