My mom loves nurse Jennifer and her nurse aide Abby. She raves about how well they treat her at night versus the care and attention she gets during the day. I have only talked to Jennifer on the phone but I can tell she loves her patients. Mom says that Abby always smiles and makes her feel special. Having people like this caring for my mom puts me at ease being so far away from her. A huge THANK YOU for their caring hearts! 💞
It was very painful as it would be for most people to put their loved one (Ned) in a nursing home. Heart-wrenching decision, but he is adjusted and enjoys being here with all the other people. The food is unbelievable and the staff are so kind. I'm able to buy meal tickets and have breakfast with him in the dining room at 7:00 a.m. and then I come back and have dinner with him. He's only 22 minutes from my house so I'm grateful he ended up in Jefferson City. He's only been here two weeks but when I come to see him he will say, this place is nice isn't it " I believe he thinks he's in a hotel. I am so grateful for this facility and the staff.
I want to say a huge thank you for taking care of my dad. Everyone was great and very helpful. He had a great roommate. They got along great. Lisa Branner, thank you for all you done for us. Kim the nurse, he will miss you. You were great. Thank you again for excellent care.
When you call the facility and put on hold you will hear how they are a 5 Star Facility with Medicaid & Medicare however that is far from the truth.
The facility is a nice one from the curb appeal and interior of the facility but looks can be one thing but the care is another. My Father-in-Law has been a resident of JCHR for a while now and during this time the care is subpar at best.
They are always short staffed meaning the staff cannot always give the attention to the residents as needed for example there has been no shower staff to give showers and he has gone as long as 2 weeks without a shower which is a shame because they only get 2 shower days a week. Prisoners get more per week than they give here.
When my wife placed him there we were mislead on many things and currently searching for a new home for him.
Your nurse, Shelly Guinn has been leaving some really homophobic comments on public Facebook pages. Perhaps address this so it doesn't tarnish the reputation of your facility.
