The Lifecare Center in Kirkland staff is always pleasant & engaging when I visit. When I’ve made inquiries on behalf of a resident I’ve visited, both the nursing & housekeeping staffs have treated me with respect & try hard to accommodate the requests. Cheryl, Jean, Angela & Sarah are just a few names I can remember although others have been excellent as well.
The residents I interact with are very happy with their care which says it all. Activity Director, Linda, and her assistant are so dedicated to helping the residents stay engaged with each other & keep their minds active. They are very creative in bringing in a variety of entertainment too. Loved the tortoise from the Reptile Zoo that was brought in today! Linda & Eric at the front desk are always pleasant & helpful too. Thank you for keeping up good staff morale which spills over into those who live there. That’s not always easy in a challenged environment. Keep up the good work. CJS

Secure entrance, camera enforcement check in, super compassionate staff, it smells good in there, and I came there one day on the fly to see a family member, and they had a little event going on giving the patients a day of sweets, and ivars! The outdoor balcony is clean, welcoming and relaxing. They treat my family like their own, which I’m thankful for.

This place charged Medicare $1300/day. Air filters were black, with stalactites hanging down from ceiling fixtures. Black dust bunnies under my bed. Patients on one wing were smoking cigarettes after visiting hours--many with oxygen tanks to help them breathe. My "room" was a 6x3 hallway nook, with no privacy--even missing a curtain. Meals had carbs but nonexistent protein (I brought my own bananas). Baths were weekly AFTER I was assessed and then enrolled on a sign up list that opened for enrollment. Assessment only during Wednesday weekly meeting from staff. I was not allowed to use exercise rooms/equipment until after assessment. Basically, they cost me 5 days of being warehoused with no bathroom privileges. I was scheduled to be admitted on Friday afternoon, but they wouldn't allow me to be transferred until Monday. I waited until 4 PM to be transported, and when I saw the conditions, I insisted on leaving immediately. Staff denied me, requiring a doctor's signed release "against medical advice." A friend picked me up at 4:30 PM, within minutes of the signature. At home, I showered, went downstairs and cooked a meal, then back up to bed. This facility did not communicate any of the "rules" to the social worker who scheduled my post-op placement two weeks earlier. Zero stars. Medicare ripoff. Additional videos of filthy HVAC--especially concerning given COVID wing.
The patient at the end of the hallway I was in was blind and needed help for toileting. She waited 2 hours for someone to respond to her request. No cell phone coverage. Our bathroom was 3x5 with toilet, sink on wall, one dim bare light bulb (the other was missing), the room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals--it had been janitor's closet. No towels. Communal bath down hallway had tubs, but was never used in the 24 hours I was there. Profoundly less than competent staff.

Life Care Center is a wonderful facility with a great staff! Our family member has been a resident of LCC-Kirkland for more than two years! He has madea good recovery and is doing well! I especially want to give the Activities Director, Linda a round of applause! She is the most caring, creative, and someone who gives 110% to the residents! I am impresses with her energy and stamina! She puts huge events and brings in talented performers. Just take one look at the activities calendar, it's impressive! I know our family member would not thrive as well as he has without the activities and stimulation! Thank you, Linda Svonavec!! You are the BEST and we appreciate you and your efforts so much!!

I love staying here at life care because they have incredible nurses like Mhiel, Alhagie and Brenda, added to that are the CNA’s Sophia, Ashlynn and Anna. Also I would like to express my gratitude to the therapist Margarette, Cassandra, Nathan and Briana who are giving me the support I needed and I’m so thankful to them for all the improvements I had. I will never forget this people for the rest of my life. Thank you also for the help of the social services staffs. They made my life beautiful and I wish I could take them home with me.
