The doctors don't care about the patients. They don't take Labs on people when they first come in, nor do they look over the patients chart to see what they are low/high on (like magnesium, sodium, potassium, calcium). The nurses, nurse aids, & doctors neglected someone in my family and she ended up having kidney failure. The kidney failure was from them not feeding her and not giving her drinks (she needed help with eating and drinking), so she was severely dehydrated and was slurring her words. She went to the hospital and died. The nurse aids made someone in the kitchen help to feed her and they were mean and nasty and rushed her to eat. I caught it on camera. They told me in not allowed to take pictures or videos inside the rooms, but when they are abusing someone, I want that on camera. Also, I have a picture I took where they left her in the dark, with freezing cold food on her tray. As soon as a nurse aid saw me go in the room, someone immediately ran after me and turned the light on and started to feed her. They knew they were wrong. Below are the pictures of the people who were neglecting her at the nursing home. One picture is we here they neglected her, left food on her tray, and kept the lights off. One pic is the stupid lying nurse in l light blue and pink, the other is the guy from the kitchen forcing her to eat and eat quickly. We couldn't pursue a lawsuit because of statue of limitations (you can only file a lawsuit within a year of the incident). And with grieving, because of everything drastic that happened (especially witnessing the nurses trying to revive her and the nurses at the hospital forcing her daughter to watch), it's been difficult to bring up everything to the daughter to be able to sue this nursing home and Kindred hospital. To the nurse in the pink is a liar, and said they did Labs on her (which was a lie after seeing all the charts). They lied on their patient charts saying when they fed her and how much she ate. I asked the family member and she said they didnt help her. They made her feel bad for needing assistance. I hope this helps some people. And if you think we could still have a case (she died December 21, 2017) let me know.

If you love your family members keep them out of any exceptional living facility. Staff does not care nor does management. I have seen the neglect first hand for residents. No proper health care is giving, night shift is completely understaffed. Call lights go unanswered, residents are mistreated, left in urine, no proper nutrition is giving. Their is a bug problem and a mice problem. Employees leave while on the clock leaving your loved ones unattended. I have set with my mother whom we have taken out of the facility and watched how the staff talks about the residents, I have filed complaints with the state against the nursing home as well. They have absolutely no regard for human life, and your loved ones will decline and get mistreated if you place them in this facility. Please look else where if you care for your loved ones. I am begging you not to let these money hungry nursing homes con you into believing they will properly care for your loved ones. If you don’t believe go speak with the residents yourself and they will speak on the abuse they have received since being there. I have heard these stories myself. It is really heartbreaking that this facility is still allowed to operate. I will continue to report them until something is done and those poor people get the help they deserve. Thank you to the GOOD CNAs I did encounter the week my mother was there, which was not many! I am hoping this messages reaches the right people and something is done to prevent and stop the things going on in this facility.

I went from a hospital discharge at 4 pm on a Friday directly to St Matthews center for in-patient physical therapy. They knew I was coming. It had been arranged by the hospital discharge coordinator. I arrived, and they told me I was too late. I had no control on when the hospital discharged me. They told me the staff doctor had already left so they couldn't officially register my admittance... therefore, they couldn't administer any meds either. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks prior to this and a treatment plan was carefully put together. I received no meds for 3 days at the care center. When I did start receiving meds, I had to fight and argue every single day to receive them. Finally, the clinical director and I got into a major argument about it. She then said she needed my permission to speak with my doctor about it. I was thrilled because I knew he was going to berate her for it, and he did. She never argued with me about it again. The rooms and furniture reminded me of dank motel rooms that had not aged well. There was always something wrong with the room's individual heater. Their parting words were, "We're glad you're going home but we hope you never come back." No worries, mate.

My family and myself we had to recently report St. Matthews care center to state! Two CNAs refused care for my uncle on Saturday we had to physically go there in the wee hours of the morning at 12:00am one of the staff members tried to refuse to let us in the building and this place is open 24 hours! We had to call the police to the building to escort us to the nursing station and we had to call the DON in the middle of the night due to the refused care from two CNAs that my uncle was denied care from and before we came one of the night shift nurses told us not to come because he was already cared for but we had to come anyway due to the verbal abuse and neglect of my uncle after he was refused a bedpan for his toileting and my uncle had a accident and he can't walk good. This place is very neglectful of patients! When my family was talking to two police officers outside of the building in the parking lot the police told us that they had to come to st. Matthews care center for a similar incident! Don't send your loved ones here they will get neglected just like my uncle did. This place is pitiful!!!!!!

there were no other rehab places for my mom to go to after surgery so she was sent to this location . Her room was very outdated . The walls and ceiling were dirty. The bed was old and was sitting next to heater which was very rusty and dirty . The commode had chrome assistant rails that were rusty. The rooms need a huge makeover . No phone in room until after numerous requests I would say call button was answered in a timely manor . The staff was very nice .
