💔If you love them, research this place before you place them. My dad went into rehab at Hanover. I'm a nurse - and what I saw made me file an official complaint with the Ohio Department of Health. The state investigated and cited the facility for improper care (Complaint #0H000153869-public record). Please go read this. You’d think it was a terrible movie. Before a serious medication incident and fall, my dad was alert enough to play chess with his granddaughter. Afterward, he was disoriented and never fully recovered. He passed away within days. 5 to be specific. I documented multiple concerns during his stay - including recordings of conversations with staff that they were unaware of and accounts from my father himself. I also have video of him after his fall, trying to process why he was even in the facility. My best friend of 40+ years is courageously fighting her way back to health. I am grateful for Hanover Healthcare Center, the staff and administration. I'm extremely pleased with the services and care they provide. They show genuine concern and attention for the well-being of their residents. We can always find flaws or shortcomings, but I chose to focus on the positive aspects of this facility. Although, my friends stay is temporary, it's not our first experience, but the best by far! All of her needs are being addressed and solutions are taking place day after day. The Assistant Director of Nursing has been exceptionally helpful in organizing a care plan, providing her with a Nurse Practitioner who addresses her medications and treatments. She's experiencing so many ongoing health issues but each of them are being handled, and we couldn't be more pleased. She participated in physical and occupational therapy daily, she's transported to & from her appointments safely. Every staff member I have encountered, including nurses, health aids, housekeepers, laundry department and dietary professionals have all worked together to make our stay bearable. Most reviews I've read seem to focus on the negative things, but they are so minor and are outweighed by goodness. I had no idea what to expect after a horrific experience recently at another facility, I must say my prayers have been answered and what matters most is that my friend feels loved and cared for. We thank and appreciate each and ever person that has lightened our load and has made our experience wonderful! 💯

Absolutely love the environment. The residents really do become family! The new management team is amazing and very approachable. STNA’s really go above and beyond! Such a great improvement!

Would not wish this place on our worst enemy. Care for patients as individuals is almost non existent. Understaffed to where at some points there were not enough there to fulfill state requirements. You might get your meds you might not. You might get something that doesn't taste like it's soured or gone bad but most likely not. If you need assistance getting into and out of bed, you might get up within the hour but most likely it will be two.

I cannot say enough positive things about Hanover Healthcare!! Each employee works tirelessly each day to provide exceptional care to each and everyone of the Residents. Residents enjoy numerous activities daily to stimulate their mind. Therapy is amazing and always pushes the Residents to their highest ability. Employees treated extremely well and many retention events monthly to appreciate all of their wonderful efforts.
