EVERGREEN HEALTHCARE CENTER

I have had 2 family members reside here, I found it while I was looking for something closer to my home. The staff are very impressive and attentive to the residents needs, which is refreshing. I can’t tell you how many phone calls I received to just tell me a story about something my mom did that struck the staffs funny bone. Many times I came into the facility and my mom was in the TV room in a recliner and a staff member was sitting in the recliner with her, it really felt like a home and not a facility. It warmed my heart and made me feel confident in my decision to bring her there, just like the times staff drew her pictures or she stayed up late with them eating snacks, I was so confident in Evergreen and its staff that when my brother needed a place to go I brought him to evergreen. His health was such that he needed to lose weight, and in the time he has been there he has lost over 100#, which has improved his health and his overall mood. The management staff did a weight loss challenge with him and to hear him talk about it was worth it. She made a chart did regular weigh ins, and never forgot. Every department is involved and knows all the residents, and it isn’t just what pertains to their care, it’s their personality and what they like and enjoy, I personally watched a nurse walk to a resident and they both proceeded to engage in a secret handshake that made my day. There are things I see every time I’m at the facility that reinforce my feelings about evergreen and its staff. I could throw specific names out there but it truly is all of them are very involved in the residents and the facility operations.

I have absolutely loved my time at Evergreen! Connecting with our Residents and making them smile is a crucial part of our daily mission here. I have and will continue to recommend our building to family and friends in search of Rehab or long term care. The floor staff and management team work hand in hand to protect and care for every one of our residents in every way possible. Come visit us or join us for an activity to see for yourself!

My friend was admitted after a fall and the staff was very welcoming when we arrived and made the transition easy. Peggy from admission was easy to work with and answered all my questions. The support staff was great and took care of all my friends needs or wants. Leah is very caring and compassionate nurse. She had a way with my friend to get her to do things that other nurses could not. They treated my friend and me like family. A great place to get long term care if needed.

I would give this place a zero star if I could. I'm still disgusted and dismayed at the abuse of power shown concerning my late grandmother and my nuptials. Two weeks prior to my wedding, I was informed that this establishment refused to allow my grandmother (who was semi-mobile and of sound mind at the time) to attend. The ceremony was at a small local church with handicap access. Although I tried to work with them to seek a solution to this situation, they refused to do so and basically held my grandmother hostage. I am her only granddaughter by blood, and their refusal to allow this was very upsetting. Unfortunately, no apology can make up for this. Be aware that similar things could happen with your loved ones in this facility.

Long time ago my grandfather was a patient at this facility a long time ago the staff need to listen to the family my grandfather had a bad cough and needed to be admitted to the hospital for sepsis which took you a while to realize take my advice Please keep your loved ones away from here
