THE VILLAS AT NEW BRIGHTON

This place is an absolute joke, staff telling patients to have family do their own laundry, because other staff would either steal their clothes, or give it to random patients. Handing out wrong medications and not knowing about it, thankfully our patient knew all of her pills and pointed it out quickly. Nobody manning the front desk to see who all is entering the building. And not feeding patients consistently or enough. Our patient has a low sodium diet, and was told she couldn’t have fruits or vegetables, and was served noodles and a meatball with nothing else. She has to ask everyday for her food an hour or so later than everyone else. Bathroom in room has black mold, and holes in the walls behind the bed. This place should get shut down immediately, I feel so bad for the older people who must stay here in this money trap of a center. Also patients not being let outside at all, so they are stuck in this smelly prison. Get better staff and do something about these complaints, you just sit there and tone it out, and disregard everything that has been shared. Owner replies but hasn’t changed a single thing. No excuses for how these people have and are being treated.

Over all a terrible place!! They didn’t keep up with my Dad’s overall hygiene or care! The place is short staffed and dirty! The staff gives you the run around and is not transparent or trustworthy! I was told by a lady in finance that my Dad’s finances were between him and her! My Dad passed away at this facility! The place needs to be shut down! I would give zero stars!

This place is amazing. The building is outdated but currently being renovated. The staff is wonderful, they really care about what they are doing. My brother is a current resident. I have no experience with nursing homes, I have heard terrible things. I checked this place out. Its clean doesn't smell. My brother looks comfortable every time I see him. I think this is a good place.

This place was so horrible and run down. My dads bed and tv didnt work. He was left sitting in his urine until I came and complained. The wall corners have duct tape to hold the walls together. It really should be shut down and have a complete overhaul. The only thing good was the Social worker and one of the nurses that help me get my dad out of there. Would never recommend!

My mother doesn’t get food brought to her and the staff are incorrectly feeding a low sodium diet (told her she can’t have fruits and salad) bathroom is filthy and when she gets her pills she has been handed the wrong medicine and the nurse didn’t know until my mother pointed it out. Completely unacceptable. This establishment either needs to find staff that care or the need to bring in ice.
