My 99 year old aunt received excellent care and concern from the staff at Northridge, from nursing supervisors, nurses, social workers and of course the hard working aids and assistants. Staff leaders were always available to talk to our family members about our concerns for her health needs. My aunt passed away yesterday, and I would like to thank the staff for their tireless efforts on her behalf.

Have been in the TCU since March. My Rehab has been a long time with still a bit to go. The Staff in the Therapy Departments have been OUTSTANDING! My personal experience with the Aides and Nursing staff have been very good. The maintenance staff does the best they can as fast as they can. Housekeeping does well. I have thought long and hard about the all the words I could write but I have summarized this the best I can. Thank You Northridge for the Care You have given me (and more)

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I am extremely disappointed with this facility. My father has ended up in the ER several times, and we were proud to believe he would receive the care he needs here. Unfortunately, he rarely gets that care. Every time I visit him, he is in a hospital gown, and the staff never bathes him or assists him with brushing his teeth. He has memory issues, and the staff does not seem to really care, including the nurses. Don’t get me wrong; there are some good staff members who engage in conversation with me. However, they only attend to his needs when family members are present. His room is not cleaned daily, or even weekly, for that matter. They do not help him eat, nor do they ever ask if he would like water or anything to drink. I am baffled by how they operate and what they are supposed to be doing to help him. On two occasions, he was sent to the hospital due to his blood sugar being over 600. When I inquired how this could happen, the only explanation I received was that it was due to his health issues. They often blame the patient for having elevated blood sugar levels. The reason he is in memory care is so that he can receive proper care. It’s frustrating that family members must intervene to ensure he gets the basic necessary help, which is not even being provided. Recently, he was sent to the hospital again because his blood sugar soared to over 1000. I’ve had enough, and I refuse to wait for him to die in this facility. He is in nursing home memory care to be taken care of, but that care only seems to happen when family members are present. This is all documented. If you truly care about your loved one, do not bring them here; it seems they do not care about their residents. Each time I ask how these issues occurred, they blame my father rather than taking responsibility for their mistakes. I am disappointed, and it may be time for lawyers and the court system to address this situation and the neglect he has experienced.

My girlfriend has been here for two months recovering from a TBI. She doesn't need a ton of attention, but she cannot advocate for herself yet. We are predominantly here due to a trach which really limits which recovery facilities she can go to. I will always say you need to be your loved one's biggest advocate, regardless of where they are staying. As such, we have gotten to know quite a few members of the nursing staff here and I can say they care. We've become very familiar the nurse manager, Edna. She's helped us quite a bit as a resource to go to when need information to make sure my girlfriend gets the care she needs. They do what they can and check in often with us. I can go home because I'm not concerned she'll have trouble if I'm not there. Is everything perfect? No, but that's an issue with the American healthcare system. The people here try to do their best for their patients and I can't ask for more.

Visits here over the past several months to see a friend have been really pleasant. My friend speaks highly of the care and compassionate team. My interactions with staff are very light but always positive. I'm happy to know my friend is in such a great a place!
