I spent 3 three nights a four day there. As far as I’m concerned it’s a place they through there person/family member in they don’t want to deal with anymore. During my stay my daughter couldn’t get to me but on the second day there she made it there took one look around and asked me when could she take me home but had to leave me there until they could get my medical supplies delivered to our home. Now Matthew the director was as nice as he could be and tried to address our problems but he is only one person now I ran across some very nice CNA’s but the most didn’t give a care. And you could mash the call button and it could take 30 minutes to some times longer for them to stick their head in I had one CNA tell me that they all had to take their break. I would never go back in there or put someone I love in there willing. In there.7 out of 10 of the staff could not give a crap about those patients and don’t mind letting you know it.

I am currently in the process of looking for a facility for my loved one. What I liked if the fact that I didn’t have to call over and over or wait an unnecessary amount of time on the phone. I got through right away. I think her name was Melody who answered. She had a very positive attitude and got me transferred to Nicole Averette. I could tell that she had a lot going, but she really took her time in explaining everything to me about what the process financially would look like. I would say that she is very friendly and is knowledgeable about the things I needed to know. When calling other nursing homes, I didn’t get the same experience. So I really appreciated that.

It has been a long journey with us at Hunter Creek, as we are into year 5 with my resident. As his Power of Attorney, I have worked to achieve and maintain the best care possible, but it has not been easy. At this point it is probably closest to ideal, and I know HC staff are doing what they can for him. There are times, however, when daily hygiene is not maintained, and it is usually due to events or staffing issues that are out of immediate control. If I am there when this occurs, it falls on me to to find a nurse or CNA to rectify the situation or seek a solution. In my experience with him, any change or omission in his daily routine can lead to deteriorating conditions, from extreme discomfort to a UTI that becomes septic. I will say, however, that his nurses care very much for him, and they do their best to administer meds/other care in a timely manner. His CNA team has improved in daily hygiene and he seems happier and more comfortable. It has taken a long time to reach this point, and I am grateful for the nursing leadership that has gotten us this far. Even so, as his POA I remain diligent. I speak about HC only from my perspective, so I am not sure about the quality of care that other residents receive. I do know that there is a high turnover of nursing and CNA staff, so one can only speculate about the reasons why.

I’m currently in Rehab at Hunter Creek Health and Rehab, my services has been good, I want to thank LaTasha Wright the ADON for everything she has done, I had an issue that she took care of for me without any questions asked. She is a wonderful nurse and headed on a great path

This place is filthy. My dad and mom are recovering there at the moment. No one comes to check on dad. He has dementia. He can’t feed himself or pick up a cup yo drive no water. He can’t get out of bed. We got no help from the staff until I got hospice set up. Dad can’t even push the button to request the nurse. When I was able to be there last week fair it often, no one even comes when you push the nurses bottom. I have had to fight the staff for everything dad has gotten. No compassion in this place. I have photos of dad’s room. It’s very run down and dirty. I don’t know if they clean at all. They were refusing to help feed him until I got hospice involved. They wouldn’t give him pain meds. Said he had to ask for them. But, he can’t push the nurses button. He has dementia. He doesn’t know how to ask for them. I fought and fought with them about this. Finally after hospice got approved he can have pain meds now. They do nothing unless a family member is there or hospice. Do not send your loved one here. We are working to get dad moved. They would just let him die if we didn’t speak up. Thank God for hospice.
