The continual care and prompt urgency they showed my family with my mom was so generous. They made sure mom was always with someone to make sure she was safe and attended to. Mom loved being in the dining area and listening to music and seeing TV shows. Wonderful nurses and Staff. Very attentive to her needs . Although she is dearly departed from us now , she had quality help in her last days .

This facility is one of the worsts of all. This facility does not care about your loved ones, they sit in bed all day with no physical therapy, my grandma had human specimen all over her legs, she was taken to Christ hospital cause her blood sugar was 39 and it took them a while to even decide to call 911. The doctor at Christ said that it’s a miracle that she is still alive. Please don’t send your loved ones to this facility it is basically a prison for seniors.

Although I never expected witnessing one of my best friends in a nursing home. Upon arriving at Oaklawn respiratory care, I found the facility to be clean, a bit older than I expected. But, the nursing and cna staff appeared pleasant, energetic and knowledgeable.

I would not give this facility a star at all! It is the worst place to have someone. My dad was there and the care was horrible. His clothes became community clothes. He wasn’t cleaned or changed daily. I did not understand why I had to stop at the front desk for them to call someone to see if my dad was able to have a visitor. In other facilities I was able to sign in and go directly to the patients room. What are they trying to hide. The staff was rude and did not want to tend to the patients. They were loud in the hallways and playing loud music. It pained me to have my dad there. He could not talk or move. I am not sure what happened to him because one day I went to visit him and he couldn’t move his hand. He eventually lost complete movement. When I asked if he fell or if something happened to him - No one knew anything. Worst place EVER! I get angry just thinking about this place! Please DO NOT TAKE A LOVED ONE THERE

My brother was doing a great job in his rehabilitation process at RML and was transferred here once insurance stopped covering his stay at RML. He was transported via ambulance 6pm and not a single staff member, doctor or nurse, checked on him until 11 when we asked for them to. We left at midnight and told him we’d by in the morning. Unfortunately we never got the chance because he passed before we could see him again. In the process of picking up his belongings, we noticed his brand new iPhone + charger was not in the bag. We asked staff about it and they said he didn’t have a phone. Bullshit. We had just seen it not even 8 hours before. Asked again. “Oh it could have gotten mixed up in the laundry” was the response we received. We had to ask 4 separate times and escalate before the phone magically appeared. The staff is barely competent and don’t seem to care about literally anything other than a come up- whether it be a check or a dead man’s phone. The facility smells of urine and is incredibly dated. Tape was noted on the dresser drawers, the curtain rod in the room was only connected to the wall on one side, there was no room light switch but a string, the beds don’t have side rails and have a crank to raise/lower them, the heater was old and cracked. This was the second room we had been in as the staff initially tried to put him in a room that already had 2 men in it. I’m grateful my brother had my family there to advocate for him during the 14 hours he survived there but I can only imagine the way they treat those who don’t. I miss my brother every day and I hope the staff are never in the vulnerable position to be taken advantage of or dismissed the way they did him.
