The Aides here need to take more classes on hospitality. Aides they take the frustration out on the residents when they under staff they half ass take care of residents. I don't recommend this facility to no one

UPDATE 7/5/2025: She's been dead for over a year and they STILL haven't contacted me. DO NOT SEND ANYONE THAT YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS FACILITY IF YOU WANT THEM TO COME OUT ALIVE. They'll get tired of having to take care of you, drug you up with fentanyl and make you sign papers (while you're so out of it from the fentanyl that you don't even know what you're signing) agreeing to be put in hospice. MY AUNT WAS NOT TERMINALLY ILL IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. I called them after she signed the hospice papers and the woman "absolutely assured" me that it did NOT mean that she was anywhere near the end of her life. She said, "It's cheaper for us to treat hospice patients than it is to treat long-term patients." What she DID NOT tell me is that once you sign those hospice papers, they literally LET YOU/WANT YOU TO DIE. They stop coming in as often, stick an oxygen tube in your nose, wait for you to develop untreatable bed sores, and literally watch you rot. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN. UPDATE 12/22/24: They STILL have not contacted me whatsoever. UPDATE 8/19/24: I emailed THEM on August 12th. I asked them to read my Google review and then to please call me. I left my full name and number. No email. No phone call. I'll be contacting an attorney. Luckily, I found a voice-mail where I can literally hear a nurse berating her in the background. DO. NOT. SEND. ANYONE. HERE. My aunt, Joanne Morris, was brought to this facility after being in another facility for over two years. I went from talking to her on the phone every day to being unable to contact her. According to her, they took her phone and wouldn't give it back until she signed the hospice and DNR papers that she DID NOT want to sign. She was placed on hospice and our entire family freaked out because based on what we know, hospice usually means end-of-life care. When I called to ask why she was placed on hospice, they informed me that it was only for insurance purposes because "it's cheaper for Medicare to pay for a hospice patient than a long-term care patient." Next thing we know, she's on her death bed with a "Kennedy terminal ulcer" on the base of her spine. I would literally bet my life that it was an untreated bed sore that got infected. But because she was placed on hospice, they no longer had to care for her in the same ways as before. I saw her for the last time 6 days before she passed away, and she was in bad shape then. For the next 6 days, she suffered immensely. She didn't have a single IV going into her body. No fluids, no IV pain meds, nothing. They gave her morphine by mouth even after she couldn't swallow anymore. I trusted this place to do what was best for my aunt, and it's very obvious that she was nothing but another paycheck to them. Yes, she was in a lot of pain and was suffering, but I absolutely do not believe that she would be dead right now if she had never stayed at Greenbrier. There was ONE nurse that really took care of and went above and beyond for my aunt. His name was either Matt or Jason. Other than that, this place needs to be shut down. Looks like I'm not the first person here to lose a family member to a "bedsore." Here we are over a month later and this facility literally didn't even care enough to address any of my concerns. Looks like they pick and choose who to apologize to just like they pick and choose who to "deal with." MY AUNT WOULD BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW IF SHE HADN'T ENTERED THIS FACILITY!

This was a horrible experience for my very ill father. Not only unprofessional, management and nurses were completely dishonest. I called 911 myself knowing my dad was in a terrible decline. Once he got to southwest hospital the nurse at SW assessed my father and quickly confirmed a list of health issues. C diff, UTI, severe fever from these infections. Dangerously low hemoglobin..4 open sores on his rear end when that very day, hours earlier the nurse manager told me directly in person that the we're all healed and closed!!!!!! It bring me to tears this day. Trust your instincts. Be your loved ones advocate.

My Mother's in Greenbrier Health Center and has had the Worst Care!!! She has fallen out of her wheelchair many times since she has been in there!!! She is crippled on one side of her body and they don't even give her a seat belt to keep her from falling out or sliding down out of the chair!!! She has had to go to the hospital for these incidents and has even had a broken bone!!! She has had her possessions stolen. Currently the patients residing there can't even get a cup of coffee!!! This has been going on for several days. Where is the money going to that is taken for their care? She has been left in her wheelchair and not even been checked on for many hours at a time!!! The Lack Of Care Is Just Incredible!!!

I have be meaning to write a review on this place for a long time. My mom was put in here for 5 days for a respite break. My mom had Alzheimers and I was taking care of her at home a long with the assistance of Western Reserve Hospice. Hospice will suggest that you take a respite break and will arrange a facility to take care of your loved one for you . Even though I was supposed to take a break from caring for my mother, I checked in on her every day. The first day she was there I told them she needs bed rails because she wanders and is not steady on her feet. They said they can't do that because it is a form of restraint. I voiced my concerns that I was afraid she may fall or fall out of bed. So they put these gym mats down.. well the very next day I get a call that my mom fell out of bed and hit her head!! I was livid. Then they claim they didn't have one of her medications which I am 100% positive I gave it to them. I always triple check her meds. I had to contact hospice to get more meds for her. Needless to say we went there every day. It really wasn't a respite break. But I encourage everyone, if you can take care of your love ones yourself please do so. These facilities do not have yours best interest at heart.
