LOFT REHAB OF PEORIA, THE

My father has been at this facility for about two years. During this time, I’ve witnessed both ups and downs, but overall, the administration, nurses, CNAs and the therapists have consistently been helpful and cooperative. Whenever I’ve had concerns or occasional complaints, they’ve always been heard and addressed promptly. Every system has its limitations, and elderly individuals may not always be able to communicate their needs effectively. That’s why I make it a point to be actively involved, to support and help bridge that gap. So far, this approach has worked well. I visit this place every other day, if not daily, and I am often pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and odor-free it is. In my opinion, achieving this level of cleanliness and tranquility in a nursing facility is no small feat. I must also commend the new administration for the improvements they’ve made. They are clearly committed to identifying and addressing any shortcomings.

This place is a joke, if you care a little bit about you loved ones you wouldn’t even think about this place. My grandma didn’t get any of her medicine, no blanket, she had a broken bed. There’s no private rooms, there’s no one in there that cares for you. She was alone besides her roommate, which her roommate wasn’t even cared for. Her feet were black and blue. She’s backs in the er hallucinating, sicker than a dog because she’s supposed to take 16 different prescription and got none. She wasn’t even there 24 hours. An absolute joke. And go ahead and try saying it don’t sound like that place. If that’s the case you better go take a look because we’re livid.

Stopped by around 6 PM on Easter. The lady at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful to the people coming back from a visit. She made sure I was okay to get signed in before she began helping the others. The one thing that kept it from being an awesome experience was the loudness of the call light in the hall. As well of the length of time it went on for.

TERRIBLE AND ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! My grandmother was there for less than 12hrs before we got her out of there! The building is so dirty! Cigarette butts on the floor outside of residents rooms. My grandmothers room smelled of urine so bad and when I asked the CNA what that smell was she replied “that’s probably her roomate.” The roommate was sitting in her wheelchair and had NO PANTS ON and her adult diaper was around her thighs, not even up around her waist. The tv is barely hanging on the wall, no remote or buttons to change channel or control volume. My grandmother was expected to just LAY THERE and stare at a wall! They did not give her any of her medications, did not turn her frequently in bed, feed her, OR PUT HER OXYGEN MASK ON HER (which is required every night at bed time). Shame on anyone who puts their loved one in this FILTHY LANDFILL.

The staff here is helpful and efficient. The food is great and there are always different options. The building is always clean and organized. Getting to and from doctors appointments is always easy and taken care of for the residents. The activities department caters to each resident individually and offers a great selection of activities such as coloring, painting, puzzles etc.
