I would like thank Management and the staff for providing the best quality of care for my grandfather. They did their utmost best to ensure that he is well taken care of. I appreciate all the efforts they provided to accommodate his needs as well as the needs of my family. My grandfather felt at home and when he was hospitalized, he missed the nurses of Pico. Again, thank you for all that you have done for him.

My mother was transferred to this facility after having hip surgery from a fall. I was under the impression that if I was present to advocate for her and her care that she would make a speedy recovery. I visited with her almost everyday from 4 to 12 hours a day. My family members would fill in when I couldn't make it. Overall, we were present to make sure she would be receiving the care and attention she needed. What a disappointment it was to witness many residents that were neglected and left unattended. My mother was there on a short term/rehabilitation status and she was mixed in the long term patients which affected her emotionally and mentally. I addressed many issues with the administration only to be acknowledged but no action was taken to correct my concerns. Especially during the night shift once family members are not present, and patients calls are ignored. Another incident was during a 3:00 pm shift change when I had one nurse tell me to lower my voice while I was having a discussion with different nurse about my mother's care, yet they mute out the cries from patients all day long. When I told her it was unprofessional on her part to speak to me in that manner, she continued to argue with me over it. The Nursing Director then offered to move my mother to the other side of the facility where she received less attention, specifically at night after we were not present. My mother swears that she had fallen and the charge nurse failed to document and report the fall. When I was asked by the nurse why I believed she had fallen, I shared that she has bruises, pain, and a swollen knee to prove it. Again, they failed to take a report. While my mother's stay, the facility was undergping some upgrades with new paint, floors, closets, wallpaper, which was very disruptive. They moved patients around without notifying family members as per the Residents Rights, among other rights they violated. Don't let the appearance fool you. If you're not there to advocate for your loved ones due to work schedules etc, don't bring them to this place. I have received more support from my mom's insurance HMO in the last 4 days than this facility did in 5 weeks. My mom is making a huge improvement and walking on her own in the comfort of her own home. Most of the day and evening CNA's and maintenance staff were great and for their work ethic I gave a 2 star rating.

My Mother was a resident in this facility for about 2 years. The Staff showed her (my Mother) while under their watch, all their love and attention both professionally and personally, as it all showed by the way they all took good care of her (from the Licensed Nurses to the Housekeepers). She never felt like a stranger to the Staff nor to this facility. This was her home. Mom is long gone now, but the Staff still remembers her and they always share with me happy memories of her limited time spent here at the facility. Pico Rivera Healthcare Center have left their handprints in our family's heart, and I am sure in Mom's heart as well.

Visited this healthcare center finding a place for my mother. I notice the detail in care they give to the patients and was honestly surprised. They tended there needs and more because they actually communicate well with them. I love how clean it is compared to other places I’ve already visited. I feel safe to have my mom stay here knowing she’s in the best care.

My grandmother was admitted to this facility not too long ago and I have been nothing but impressed with the care, compassion, and treatment from Pico Rivera Healthcare Center. Each of the staff members genuinely care about everyone that steps foot into the office. They have made a difficult time much more manageable. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
