Looking for an excellent rehab facility for your loved one? Look no further, Harbor Health is clean, well staffed, food is very good. My 94 yr. old mother is a retired nurse and very hard to please. She has not had one complaint. She is a very healthy, but picky eater. The occupational/speech therapist goes out of her way to go to dietary with any request my mom has just so she will eat. She has begun to gain weight and is getting stronger every day thanks to the kind and excellent care she is receiving. My sincere thanks and prayers to everyone at Harbor Health ❤️ 🙏 Jean T.

The team at Harbour Health Center are highly competent, compassionate, and dedicated to dignity. My love one has been at the campus for over a month, and is doing better emotionally because they feel the dedication to healthcare. We have been to a few skilled nursing facilities and they all fell short on the basic care. This team works collaboratively for the physical and emotional well being. Quality care in the evenings and weekends, where every other facility fell short. Proactive infection control and nursing. My loved one is highly Compromised and the team doesn’t miss a beat in keeping her healthy to her ability. You will not find a better skilled nursing facility in Charlotte County period.

What a horrible place this is! You may want to think again before you choose this place for care. The nightmare for my cousin began in the admissions office where we were promised the best of care in area. It ended as you would not expect it to. The place is filthy, under staffed and poorly managed. Visiting at night, with what staff were there, were found sleeping. No staff at night to care for the vulnerable people. There may have been one or two staff that had compassion but that’s about it! Think twice!

While your loved ones are sleeping, so is South Port Square! My experience at this facility was less than enthusiastic or meaningful. From management, nurses and CNAs were mostly less than helpful, accepting or caring for their residents. Many times there were health concerns brought directly to the attention of the "assigned" nurse (could not use the word caring as it definitely did not fit). Health concerns that has landed several residents in the hospital due to oversight of staff. Nurses and management failing to report certain time sensitive issues, either brushing these types of concerns under a rug or simply just ignoring the resident issues or health concerns. Make note that if your loved one is assigned to someone (whether staff or agency) that is working a double (16 hour shift) then your loved one may or may not be left sitting in urine for the better half of the day, causing skin breakdown. Multiple resident falls. Call lights left unanswered for more than 1 hour at a time at all times during the day. More times than not the 3-11 shift leave call lights unanswered for hours on end. The 11-7 shift the staff and agency (nurse and CNA) would actually go into resident rooms and fall asleep. Nurses would bundle up in blankets and fall asleep at the nurses station. If your loved one is what a nurse considers a "handful" then they will not receive the same level of care as someone who is more independent. Often time brushing them off as "losing their mind" or "they are dying anyways." The staff members more times than not have very unethical opinions (out loud) regarding family members, considering them a nuisance and a bother to their requests.
