Thank you to the staff at the Portland Avalon. My husband is not the easiest patient, yet he is always cared for with patience and kindness. My father spent almost a year (2024) at Avalon. The staff were absolutely great. The facility is always neat and clean. The atmosphere is professional , cheerful and positive. The Medical Director, the CNAs were always on top if his caring needs. Some went above and beyond in really working with dad to understand his personality and his needs and find ways to help him . I cannot say enough good things about the facility Director Danielle and her team. God bless them all for caring for my father. I wwish them all the success in their efforts.

I am a hospice care coordinator and I am in this community often. The care here is absolutely amazing! The staff is so kind and caring and supportive they treat their residents with love and respect. The activities here are so fun they recently had a carnival that the staff and residents loved. I talk to so many people in the community and I hear only great things about Avalon.

I own a funeral home with my husband in the Portland area and have transported hundreds of decedents from care communities over the past 20 years. I was very impressed with the staff and cleanliness of the Avalon RCF on SE Bush. This was late at night and the staff was very cooperative. Danielle Meza has also impressed us over the years. I honestly can say the staff at Cornerstone is fantastic. They are caring, enjoy their jobs and genuinely helpful. After my father in law passed I was in need of finding a home to care for my mother in law who suffers from M.S. I struggled greatly as I navigated online tools in finding an adult foster care or facility that could take her and a place where she'd be happy. I called Cornerstone to try and get on a wait list and spoke with Kevin. As luck would have it they did have a space available. Kevin educated me on documents I would need even if I didn't choose his facility. He offered for me to swing by any time and was just beyond helpful. This facility is light and bright. Has beautiful garden areas and welcomes you in like family. I highly recommend checking into Cornerstone. The reviews I'm seeing posted by former employees seems juvenile. Granted I know none of the people who posted because my mother in law moved into Cornerstone a few months ago. I personally come by Cornerstone multiple times a week. I've never once witnessed anyone swearing or the owners demeaning the employees. The staff is usually all smiles.
