Odd that the negative reviews are from those who don't actually live here. I do, and I only regret I did not move here earlier. Good company, great food, and more activities than i can possibly schedule.

My mother-in-law has lived in the Mirabella for several years. Over that time the prices have gone up and the level of services and food have gone down. She's not used the medical facilities much so I can't comment on them at this point. The Mirabella did a great job keeping residents safe during the pandemic, but at the same time all services were shut down and they've never come back to pre-pandemic levels. It took FOREVER for them to reopen the dining rooms, which they blamed on staffing. The only thing I can think of is they don't pay enough because local restaurants were in full swing for quite a while (it seemed like 9 months to 1 year) before they reopened the dining services, and even then not to pre-pandemic levels. Food quality is only adequate and service can be very slow (which they blame on staffing again.) Frankly, I can't believe these relatively wealthy residents put up the the mediocrity of the food given what they are probably used to. Despite the fact that she pays a large monthly fee, my mother-in-law is feeling "nickeled and dimed," as there seem to be many more incidentals on her bill vs. previously. The Mirabella has cut back on the valet services, eliminated payment for Lyft (which they used to do if no valet available), started charging for services they didn't used to charge for (e.g., changing a lightbulb she can't reach), and they raised rates on other services. I recently researched graduated living facilities in Portland and the Mirabella is the most expensive, especially if you factor in the fact that besides one of the highest monthly fees, the residents "purchase" their apartments, which are then sold back to the Mirabella at the pre-determined discount (so more $$ in their pocket). On the positive side, the facilities are well-maintained, and the residents are great. Thank goodness, because otherwise my mother-in-law would be even more unhappy with the value she's getting.

Wife and I are staying at Ronald McDonald house decided to get a coffee on Saturday morning and wait into Dolce Vita bistro The staff was super nice but the dining room manager was a jerk being rude telling me I didn’t tip him enough that he couldn’t live on a dollar even though I had tipped them four dollars total . daughter is in OSHU with cancer and I have to deal with this jerk so maybe before you pass judgment on people who should see or not knowing what they’re dealing with have some respect tipping isn’t even required, but he should not be in that position🛐🕉️

The degree to which things are top notch here is impressive. Great community to belong to if you can swing the price tag.
