My dad has been at West Hills for a few weeks and is being discharged tomorrow. He seems to have gotten stronger after two falls recently before being admitted. He has been working with PT and OT to help him return to his former self before the falls. The staff seems nice and easy to work with. They have been helpful and when they are busy, it may have taken a few minutes longer than we’d like but they made it to his room to aid him with whatever he needed. The food my dad said wasn’t terrible but also not the best. I gave five stars because it seems everyone’s goals were met as far as getting him stronger and ready to go home. He looks good and is feeling good. Thank you to the staff at West Hills also for letting our pets in to see papa.

My husband was there for rehabilitation after an extended illness and West Hill has done a great job making him stronger and more confident. The therapy team is awesome and treat everyone with such respect. The nurses have been very kind and knowledgeable. Our social worker was so helpful and empathetic. My husband was quite happy with the food and he is somewhat a food snob.

My Mother is currently receiving "care" at this facility, after a joint replacement. It has been awful. On her 2nd day there, I received a call that they were sending her to the hospital with Heart attack symptoms. When she got to the hospital, the doctor read over her orders and realized that they had not been followed. She supposed to be getting Miralax, and they weren't giving it to her. Her "Heart Attack" symptoms were actually bad constipation. She has asked for things to make her more comfortable and basically told there is nothing that can be done. Also, the food is AWFUL. She was served a spoonful of frozen carrots for dinner, yesterday. Hospital food is better! This experience, after just a week of her being there, makes my heart break for the elderly that are there, who can't advocate for themselves. Facilities like this already have a bad reputation and they aren't making it any better. The only positive I can think of is, it doesn't smell bad and appears to be clean.

This rehabilitation center is terrible at communicating. My Aunt was staying at this facility and we sent her a gift via Amazon. I received a message from the courier that the package was delivered to the receptionist at the front desk and signed for ( I have the signers name). My Aunt never received the package. I have left several messages with various people at the rehab center with the assurance that they would look into it and get back to me. Four weeks later, after several phone attempts and messages on my part I still have not heard from them. This is very poor customer service, not to mention the fact that they may have a theft or organizational problem. If this center is this bad at communicating, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to be a patient or a patient’s family member at West Hills Rehab, the staff has been very unhelpful and unresponsive.
