I think if they would separate the rehab from the LTC it would be a much better place. Kindly clean up the grounds as well.
I come here 2 and 3 time a day. I must say that there is always someone on property in the halls cleaning this facility. Always a fresh scent. Not like other places we have had my 90 year old mother. Everyone is so nice always saying good morning, good afternoon and or good evening. That’s nice when everyone at Powder Springs Center for Nursing and Healing greet you walking in the halls. Things got off so it shaky start just me being me but being greeted with a smile on a daily basis which definitely turn my hesitance into production and now I'm achieving more goals thanks to Priscilla and her infectious smile always having a nice word to say and being in a place like this is very humbling and she just makes it that much easier to do what I got to do to get things done correctly and safely thank you thank you Priscilla if it wasn't for you I don't know where I would be right now your husband's a lucky man you keep telling him that lol even though you're from the West Coast of Florida and I'm from the East Coast I think we have a connection Go Gators
**Rehab was excellent — but the rest was heartbreaking.**
The rehabilitation team at [Nursing Home Name] was truly amazing — compassionate, skilled, and attentive. They gave my family hope during a very difficult time. Unfortunately, once my mother transitioned out of rehab and into the long-term care area, everything changed.
The level of attention, communication, and basic care dropped dramatically. What we witnessed was stunning and deeply sad. It felt like two completely different facilities under one roof — one focused on recovery, and the other struggling to provide even the essentials of dignity and comfort.
I would never allow a family member to return for long-term care. Families deserve consistency, compassion, and transparency at every stage — not just during rehab.
I am a person who is bluntly honest. First of all, health care is all that I know and I have been around several nursing homes and I have not yet find one where staff are happy, resident are well taken care of and the facility is very clean. We have several activities daily and those that prefers to stay in their rooms, we bring activities to them. If you are looking a family oriented facility, look no more. Powder Springs is your place. Thank you!
