I am heartbroken and outraged by what happened to CNA Jerry. I am writing this review with deep disappointment over the unjust and deeply troubling termination of one of the most hardworking and respected CNAs this facility has ever had — Jerry A. Jerry’s record speaks for itself. He is exceptionally reliable, punctual, and professional. He has a consistent history of taking extra shifts, never calling out, and always treating everyone: nurses, CNAs, kitchen staff, housekeepers, and residents with kindness and respect. His commitment to his work and to the residents’ care has been nothing short of extraordinary. To hear that Jerry was fired for something so minor and insignificant, something that many others have done without consequence is both shocking and unacceptable. It is clear to anyone who knows this facility that the decision was unfair and inconsistent with how other staff have been treated for far more serious issues. After personally speaking with Jerry and hearing his side of the story, I am fully convinced that his account is truthful. His integrity, professionalism, and heart for his work are undeniable. The management’s choice to label and terminate such a high-caliber employee over an inconsequential incident raises serious concerns about bias, poor leadership, and lack of fairness within the administration. This was undoubtedly racially motivated by a panel of Whiteheads deciding the future of a black hard working immigrant! Ask the staff, the CNAs, the cleaners, the kitchen team, even the residents and you will hear the same thing: Jerry is one of the best. His dedication is well-known, and his absence has left a noticeable void in both morale and care quality. It is heartbreaking to see good workers treated this way. The management- (espeically Pam, DON, ADON, Wylene) at Chulio Hill Health and Rehabilitation must be held accountable to restore fairness, transparency, and respect in how they handle their employees. A facility that serves vulnerable residents cannot afford to lose compassionate, dependable caregivers like Jerry over unfair or politically motivated decisions. Chulio Hill lost one of its best and finest!

My dad was admitted to Chulio 3 weeks ago and the staff and therapist have been a God send! My dad is on a ventilator and was transferred from an LTAC facility in Atlanta. We visited 4 other facilities in GA that could accommodate his vent requirement and we immediately knew Chulio was the right place. The therapists and nursing staff are consistent which was important to us so that they could get to know him and his non-verbal communication styles and more importantly they have several years of experience with weaning patients. They speak life over him and are constantly in communication with me about changes and his care plan. We live over an hour away and there were closer facilities we could have considered however we felt that Chulio and their team would make him feel like family and they definitely do! I highly recommend considering and touring this facility is you’re looking for a place in the GA region.

This is Jill Essigmann & my mother has Dementia with behaviors & needed to rehab before we decided if she needed long term care or would be able to return home. Chulio Hills was willing to offer a bed to my mother. I shared videos & was upfront about my mother’s outbursts & was reassured by the doctor on staff that if I trusted him that he would figure out my mom’s medications etc to help with her dementia. He said he had seen worse & he had seen better & that it might take him four weeks but to trust him.Ten days later he told me how pleased he was with her progress & that we would keep things the same. The next day she had her best day ever which turned into her worst night ever. She had one of her episodes so they sent her off to the hospital to get mentally/medically stable. Did I mention she has dementia with behaviors???? So now once again we are shopping for a rehab facility again. The residents are so sweet. And the staff is awesome, the food is really good & the kitchen is so accommodating. Best meat loaf ever!!! My mom gained five pounds while she was there which is a blessing. Some of the staff is definitely more familiar with my mom’s disease as where others most definitely aren’t. Not anyones fault… just the way it is. She is a force to be dealt with when one kicks in. If you have a love one that is in need & does NOT have Dementia/Alzheimer’s then please check them out. I really wish things would have been different. Just be guarded in putting your trust in what the doctor on staff has to say because he will let you down. And not even give you the courtesy of a phone call.

The staff there are amazing. They treated my Mother like she was family and always kept us up to date on her condition and care and management had their doors open to us anytime we wanted to talk. They have a respiratory therapist there 24/7, which made us feel a lot better about her chronic respiratory issues and the therapy dept encouraged her to work hard. My Mom made friends and gained family at Chulio. The hospital said she would never come off the ventilator let alone get her trach removed and the Chulio Hills staff accomplished both. They never gave up and now she is back home with us! Thank You Chulio, we are forever grateful to you for getting her back to us.

Staff just let residents sit alone outside. They didn't even give us all my uncle's stuff when he passed away at the hospital. They stated that they had taken xrays 1 week before yet he died of an abscess in his lung that the surgeon couldn't even remove because it had been there so long. Yet the dr. They had do the xrays didn't see it on an xray? Poor health care. And my uncle was in there with a brain injury unable to talk or speak up for himself. Be careful with your loved ones
