AVENTURA AT THE BAY

My aunt became a resident of Aventura today. I had to sign in as a guest. I was very impressed with Advanced Entry. The system made me feel that my aunt was safe within the facility. The took my picture, name and who I was going to see. It reminded me of going through customs at the airport . I was told that once the initial information was entered, I would just have to show my face in the camera for entry at me next visit. It saves time and a sense of security.

This place is so nice. It’s clean and the staff is amazing. I love how automated the entrance is. You just stand in front of the camera, answer a few questions, they print out your photo and you’re done. On your way out, stand back in front of the camera, it scans your face and you’re done, signed out. It’s a beautiful place and I’m so glad my uncle is happy there and he said the food is so good.

This was actually my 2nd visit. My family member was being transferred at the first visit so I didn't get the chance to visit. This visit was really nice. A great check in system, clean facility and pleasant smell. It's was during a thunderstorm and I stayed for hours which my loved one was taken care during the time. Her needs we're meet and I was pleased.

They provided outstanding support, and I truly believe their efforts were instrumental in his recovery. I would like to extend a special thanks to June, Tyler, and Evan for their commitment to helping him regain his strength. ​The nursing staff on C-Wing was also exceptional. They provided compassionate care and treated him like a member of their own family. ​Furthermore, we were very pleased with the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility. While there is room for improvement with the food service, the quality of care was truly outstanding. ​Thank you again for your hard work and kindness.

My father is currently at Aventura receiving physical therapy. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses and the CNAs have shown nothing but professionalism, courtesy and compassion. My heart can rest knowing he's in good hands. Now that we are two months in I had to delete two stars. A blodclot went unreported for about 3 days before someone called the hospital. My dad's leg was triple the size and we had to advocate for him before anyone took action to get him hospitalized. I guess they were putting their best foot forward initially when I gave 5 stars. I or a family member goes every evening after work to make sure he eats dinner. His tray often gets dropped off and no one assists him or even helps sit him up in bed so he can eat. He also has a bed sore since becoming a resident there. I'll post another update soon. Hopefully, they don't lose all their stars and my dad gets improved care as he recovers from back surgery.
