This is my mom's review: 1.Infected with roaches, spiders and other bugs. 2. Food was cold, mushy and not a good taste at all. On the rare occasion, it was something good, the portions were very small. 3. Lights were turned off at approximately 7:15 pm, pulled blankets up around patients. Mother advised CNA she wasn't ready for bed. They turned and left anyway. My mother has been there multiple times for rehab. She states the place has really went downhill and refuses to have this as a facility in the future.

I was hoping for a superior experience. Was let down. My mother was dying of cancer. The director of nursing refuse to meet with me for a game plan to help her have a peaceful transition. All I got was horrible treatment and my mom was neglected. I beg you to not place your loved one here. My family had to make plans and execute a plan B for my mother who was 86. The facilty was absolutely full of urine and feces in the building. God help the patients in that building. The administrator was passive and did not behave in a manner that was appropriate. Was not interested in solving or orchestrating a plan for my mother. I implore you to please not put your family here. Its very scary and a nasty nasty place to work. Trash everywhere. Food trays just one big garage can.

I have been very impressed with the care my husband is receiving. The nurses and CNAs have been great. They are very polite to the residents and their families. The nurses work on the same unit each time they come in. This continuity of care helps the residents get better care because the staff learns about the resident and can see changes quickly. My husbands’ nurse noted that he was thin for his height of 6’5” and ordered double portions on his food trays. Being hungry was his only complaint and he was asking for a snack frequently. The double portions helped him to get satisfied with his meals. The multidisciplinary team of doctors, NPs, PAs, PTs,OTs, Dietitians, etc…. have all been impressive. The staff knows what residents need and are prepared to assist a new resident with whatever they want. I’ve been in healthcare for 41 years and have been very impressed by Liberty Commons.

With much foreboding I went to Liberty Commons to visit a friend. Having read several bad reviews I was afraid of what I might find. I went in & found someone to help me locate her. I found my friend in a clean bed appearing to be well cared for. I found Snacks in her drawer in zip lock bags & there was no trace of any bugs or ants. I spoke with some staff who were very helpful & caring. Apparently the problems of the past have been remedied. However my friend was unresponsive & unable to talk.

My mother was there because she is a diabetic and her sugar got out of control. She was sent there to help control her sugar. She was served donuts and orange juice for breakfast, fried food and starches, with desert for lunch and dinner. Her sugar got up to 500 many days. When I asked about diabetic meals, I was told they do not serve diabetic meals. One day I stopped by and she was drinking a big cup of lemonade with sugar. Some days she did not even get her sugar checked and no insulin. Also, she was supposed to get 2 showers a week, she was there for 20 days and only got 1 shower. I voiced my concerns to everybody I knew to talk to and go no answers. I would not put my loved one there every again and I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. After my Mom was released she continued to have issues controlling her diabetes and passed away 1 week later.
