I turned 64 while I was recovering from open heart. I was at Remington for several days and I kept my eyes open. I rated it 5 stars for the following reasons. I noticed the staff, was friendly and ready to assist you immediately (or as soon as they can, after helping others). When or if you have a concern, the day nurses jumped on it. The night nurses would pass along the concerns if any (knowing they are limited on resources). I only encountered one nurse that was rude (I thought) or came across that way. She should learn to listen more and be nicer/warmer to her patients. My meds and insulin were delayed, almost like she did it on purpose and waited for me to go to sleep. The other night nurses, already took care of my meds by 7-8pm. I didn’t dare question her about any of it. However, KUDOS, to the staff.
As for the food….wow! No weight loss here. I only had one bad meal, otherwise I felt like I was on vacation in a five star hotel. That team out did themselves on food creativity, meal planning and staging the food on the plate. The staff was helpful and incredibly nice.
Kudos! Kudos! Kudos!
The drill team (lol), known as the therapists. I enjoyed the camaraderie between them. Some made me giggle (I needed that); some pushed, but were not pushy. The individuals that worked with me, were very kind and they listened, especially when I had an issue with the assignment. I had my ups and downs, but they were always encouraging. Again another KUDOS for this group.

The entire staff at Remington was great! The nurses, their certified assistants, the physical therapy rehab team, the maids, the kitchen staff, and the management team, treated me with love and care I never expected. The two week "fast track" rehab therapy really worked for me.
I would like to thank everyone at Remington for their personal care. Staff members like Nurse Maribel, and Physical Therapist Martha really pulled at the strings in my heart for their special care.
The facility is clean and neat. and was proud to show it off to my family and friends that visited me.
To everyone at the facility....Thanks so much!

This place is only good outpatient for PT/OT only.
The ratio for patients to nurses/can are 15 to 1. The place is old and needs lots of renovations, there is rust around the toilet base, the rooms all have scratches and chips with paint falling off and Sheetrock needing to be replaced. The windows have never been cleaned, and are so filthy. Chairs in the lobby are stained and needed to be replaced, the back doors to the patio are locked and if you wanted to sit outside with your loved ones, good luck, you’ll have to stroll out to the parking lot. Do not believe the photos posted by other reviewers. I also had the misfortune to stay around the holidays and the decorations was the only nice thing. The hair salon is also dirty and don’t know why the state inspector hasn’t been called.
The pool is not functional and closed and they only used a photo of it to attract potential patients. ( this was told to me by the PT director and facility liaison ). So If you are hoping for aquatic therapy, don’t count on it here.
Speaking of PT. The director of PT/OT is a PTA and not an actual PT and is a liar. I’ve caught him in lies stating my mom had PT when she did not ( I left and had someone stay with her as I never left her alone) and had the audacity to call my mom and her friend liars. This person actually had my mom and another patient with the same last name as hers who did have therapy.
The CNA/Nurses would often leave her on the bedside toilet or on the commode and take their time returning back ( while as a fall risk she was not supposed to be left alone.) The nurses were overwhelmed, and one nurse in particular Felicia, is the worst, with a phony facade and no patient compassion. I heard from several patients and their families that they despised her. She would take her time answering calls, was always on the PC keying in notes, had the CNA running around doing all of the work while she just dished meds and keyed in medical records. The other nurses and CNA mostly night were good with the exception of one night CNA, Elaine who was always on her phone and often left my mom on the toilet. Finally fed up. I called the Obudsmun and filed a complaint and this changed things significantly. The staff talked immaturely talked amongst themselves ( so that I could hear) that I was the one that called the “state” and I didn’t care my mom finally received quality care unfortunately at the expense of other patients.
The day (frosted eyeshadow Latina Barbie doll) receptionist is also so harsh and rude. Good luck if you try to get information about your loved one, she would often “lose” phone calls and spent her time flirting with the bald appointment guy driver who didn’t have much work as he was always hanging out of the receptionist desk.
The CNA and the kitchen staff along with the maintenance and bather was amazing. This is another thing they also have 1-2 people bathing patients and you are on a schedule. Either t-th-sa or MWF. If you came on an off day, your patient would not get bathed.
In short. Believe the bad reviews and only place your LO here if you want a cheap place and don’t really care about their Care

Top Notch Staff from housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance all the way to physical therapy, nursing & nurse assistants. All do their jobs very well & professionally. Without them, I would never have been able to recover as well as I have. My heartfelt thanks to them all.

My Mom stayed here during the Christmas holidays in 2021 for about 3 weeks to recover from lung disease/breathing problems. She was treated well by everyone. She enjoyed her therapy and the atmosphere really helped speed up her healing process. We were allowed to set up a Christmas tree in her room and that really lifted her spirits!
The rooms are large and comfortable with nice views and plenty of room to spread out. There was a nightstand, table and chair with a lamp, a comfy recliner, mini fridge, mirror, closet, drawers, shelves for storage, and a spacious bathroom. The wall mounted TV had all the channels the average person would like.
The food was pretty good, but we were allowed to bring outside food in for her as well. The lobby, library, and TV area are very nice for gatherings with family or playing games and puzzles. It feels like a hotel with all the comforts of home.
She had therapy twice a day and enjoyed working with the therapists for her workouts. All of the therapists, nurses, and attendants were kind and caring. Sometimes the therapists or nurses would come in too early in the morning or during meal times and that would throw off my Mom's schedule, but they would come back later if we asked.
(The bathroom smelled like sewage 24/7, but I'm not sure exactly where the smell was coming from.)
The only issue was waiting at times for a nurse to come after my Mom pressed the call button. Sometimes it would be over an hour before someone came because they were attending to other patients, but overall it was a great stay for my Mom and the nurses and staff deserve a raise for their hard work.
We were very grateful to get my Mom home in much better shape than when she arrived and we highly recommend this facility to anyone in need.
