I was admitted to the Glenwood rehabilitation facility on January 9,2025. During the first month I was totally unaware of where I was as well of anything around me. This changed on February 7th when I seemed to wake up and was again my true self. It was then that I came to know where I was and who the women were that were caring for me. The first to ladies that I found were my care givers were Barb and Tabitha. They not only cared for me daily getting me up in the morning, dressing me, getting me into a wheel chair, they took me to the dining room for breakfast and during the first month they fed me. After I came to in February I was able to feed myself. I then continued to improve as the days went by. With the help of the aides they all helped take care of me 24 hours a day. There were many of them and I want to name a few of them. Besides Barb and Tabitha there was Kristie, Chris, Kirsten, Jamie, Sarah, and many more. The nurses And other staff also played an important role in my care up to and including even the administrator Melissa. Eventually it was determined that I was ready to go home and a discharge date of July 31 was was decided. I will add the the quality of care of the staff at Glenwood was superior to the facilities I had gone to during 2024. Three of them and none were I felt on the same level as Greenwood. I will say the if I am ever asked for a referral by others I will refer Glenwood to them as a far superior facility. And most of all if I should ever need a facility to go to for care and rehabilitation I will request to be place in Greenwood rehabilitation and health care (nursing home) again. Christopher Drinnin
My wife Linda needed a care facility for her recovery after a stroke. A friend and I visited 5 different Skilled nursing facilitys and after a short visit at Glenwood and talking to some of the staff I decided that this wood be a good place for Linda. The facility had a nice home type feel to it and it did not smell bad. During the months Linda stayed at Gleenwood I was able to observe the staff interactions with my wife and myself. Linda's stroke and need for a Skilled nursing facility was a shock for both of us, but the decision to move Linda here was a good one. I drove 20 miles every day to be with her and got to know the nursing staff. There is more that happens every day then can be explained here but the staff was kind and compassionate. Even staff that seemed stressed would take the time needed to help or answer my questions. The time we spent there was stressful for both of us, but it is also stressful for the staff who did their jobs with skill and compassion. Saddly Linda stroke continued to damage her body and she passed in January 25. I still visit Glenwood once a week to visit the staff and residents who I got to know. I think Glenwood would be a good facility for someone needing a Skilled nursing facility in this area.
Love this facility and the workers and residents so much!!! Our residents are loved dearly by all who care for them!❤️
The whole staff is fantastic and the facility is vey clean and fresh smelling. They are very attentive and compassionate with the residents. I have had 3 loved ones through the years there and have always been very satisfied with my loved ones staying there. I knew when they were there they were in good caring hands.
