I have nothing but the best to say about Pine Haven. My loved one has received loving, quality care from the moment she was moved in. Staff is available for communication and the LifeLoop app keeps me posted of all activities. They are always looking for the best solution for the next need that arises. Thanks to the staff for what they do!
BEWARE - this organization is not only unethical - it is predatory. They take resident’s entire life savings under the guise of lifetime care, only to discard them once private funds are depleted and government subsidies kick in. Which is an egregious violation of trust. Be prepared to feel deceived, exploited, and heartbroken for your family member. They marketed this facility as a place of compassion and lifelong support, yet time will reveal a disturbing pattern of prioritizing profit over people. This is not just a betrayal of one individual - it is a betrayal of every family that has placed their faith in your care.
Pinehaven Christian Home may initially appear to be an ideal choice, with its welcoming and attractive exterior. However, beneath this appealing facade lies a troubling reality. With a revolving roster of staff—often numbering twenty or more caregivers per resident—continuity of care is disrupted, and essential tasks are frequently overlooked. This inconsistency can lead to critical oversights, such as missed meals and unattended needs, which can undermine an elderly resident's well-being. The excessive rotation and thinly spread staff compromise the quality of care, creating a precarious environment for those who require attentive and dependable support.
My stepfather was a resident the past 8 months and received very good care at Pine Haven. Communication was good at all times as they kept the family informed of his changes in health. Reaction time to new needs was solid. The staff is very experienced and works well as a team often sharing each others responsibilities. The facility was clean and room size was good. The staff also teamed up well with Sharon Richardson while he was in hospice and nearing the end of his life. While not always an easy patient, experience by the staff shined through.
I am disappointed to say the least? Administration and the receptionist are a joke. The communication between staff, patient, and family is lacking. They have no compassion for the residents that are depressed. They expect everyone to be happy and go along with whatever they are told. Administration also steals from patients if they feel it is something the residents shouldn't have without consulting family first!
I wouldn't step foot in there again no matter how badly I may need therapy or a place to live! I am super disappointed ☹️
