Our family is incredibly thankful for Springfield Rehabilitation and the care they have provided for my mom. What began as a short-term rehab stay has now transitioned into long-term care due to the severity of her condition—and through it all, the staff has been nothing short of exceptional. From the beginning, the therapy team made a point to keep our family in the loop, meeting in person with my dad & sister with me on conference calls so I could stay updated from out of state. Their thoughtfulness made a difficult time much easier to bear. When I was finally able to visit three months after her move, I was met with such warmth. Every staff member introduced themselves and took time to get to know me. One especially touching moment was when a team member congratulated my daughter on her college graduation—they had seen the video with my mom and remembered. That kind of personal care is rare, and it meant so much to us. My sister and dad have been there since day one of the move and have been treated with the same level of care and attention. Having experienced a different facility prior to this one, I can confidently say that Springfield Rehabilitation stands far above the rest. At the first place, due to timing, availability, and my mom’s specific needs, we had no other options—but as soon as we could, we moved her to Springfield Rehab, and we haven’t looked back. To anyone searching for a facility for their loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend Springfield Rehabilitation. The staff here aren’t just caregivers—they’ve become family to my mom & our family. Their work is not easy, but they do it with compassion, excellence, and heart. Thank you to every person at Springfield who makes my mom’s days better. We are forever grateful.

Started out to be a great place . The PT dept is great . The social worker Emily is not good . They are short staffed even though Troy director says they are not .staff will tell you they are :( 45 mins of setting in urine or poop :( not fun very humiliating for any age . After 99 days there my mom got rhino virus , encephalitis , meningitis and pneumonia !!! And c -deff. She’s now in hospital fighting for her life .

Great place! Clean and welcoming but most importantly--the people. The staff--everyone who works there--has treated our mom so well--caring and attentive. They show real concern and are extremely capable in their respective fields. While no one should expect gourmet food in a place like this, I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals.

This may be the service provider for you if you are religious, but my mother wasn't. Because she wasn't, she was denied compassion and treated like a dog. My mother had terminal liver disease and was dying. She needed pain medication for her pain and she needed anxiety medication for her anxiety. That is all she needed. Otherwise she decided to stop taking any other medications and to stop eating and drinking so she could drift away peacefully. What followed was six weeks of hell. She was denied pain and anxiety medication, she was harassed for not eating/drinking, and she, not a christian, was told repeatedly that god/jesus doesn't want her to die. Granted, this was mostly the care facility she was in (Springfield Rehab), however Haven Hospice did nothing to persuade or encourage the facility to do their job and follow the orders of Haven's doctors. They felt bad about it, but did nothing. As the liver disease increased ammonia levels in my mother blood/brain, she began to act erratically. That is what it does. She could not control her urge to try to get out of bed. Instead of giving her the pain and anxiety medication prescribed for her at levels to keep her calm and in bed, they denied them to her. So, she tried to get out of bed and fell several times. Instead of helping her, they took her bed way and replaced it with a gym mat on the cold tile floor. Still, medications were withheld. She was told she could have them if she asked for them. Again, her mind riddled by disease, could not remember what it was she was supposed to do for relief. "Simply push the call button" they'd say. Well, she couldn't remember. And if she did she couldn't remember what it was she was supposed to ask for. I spent hours there (an average of 3-4 for six weeks) each day helping her push the call button, but I couldn't be there 24/7. She spent that six weeks confused, afraid, angry, and miserable. A far cry from compassionate care! Once she entered the active dying stage, suddenly everyone cared and her medications where brought, so thankfully her last 36 hours of living may have been comfortable, but who would know, she was comatose by then. And that is my wonderfully kind and loving mother's experience with Springfield Rehab and Haven Hospice. This review will be copied to Haven Hospice's reviews as well. Thank you, and good luck.
