This long-term care and rehabilitation facility makes a very positive impression. While the building itself is older, it is exceptionally well maintained—clean and fresh-smelling throughout. The staff stood out as both friendly and respectful, showing genuine care toward patients and long-term residents. Another strength of this facility is its team. Several staff members have been with the community for many years, which speaks to their dedication and provides consistency of care for residents. This community is also part of the Harborview system, which, in my experience, consistently hires amazing employees. That commitment is evident here in the professionalism and warmth of the staff. Overall, this is a warm and welcoming environment where patients and residents are treated with dignity and compassion.

On Thursday, June 5th, 2025, I took part in a family meeting via telephone concerning my uncle's release from Edgecombe Health Center, where he's received care for the last two years. While my aunt was physically present, we were both met with hostility and outright disrespect. During this meeting, we were introduced to Christopher Motta (FNP) who made it abundantly clear that we were not welcome to voice any of our concerns. He shouted at us, told us we were wasting his time, and did not make any effort to conceal his irritation for the sake of professionalism. He referred to himself with the title doctor and allowed others to do so as well, despite having a nurse practitioner title. This felt both intentionally misleading and entirely inappropriate. The administrative staff added to the stress and hostility, informing my aunt and I that my uncle would be left on the front porch if we didn't take him home immediately. No further assistance with his home care needs were offered, which is plainly unethical under any circumstance. We raised various questions and concerns about his ability to care for himself. We were told that he was able to answer basic questions. No further explanation was provided. For reference: my uncle is seventy-one years old, lives independently, and has no family nearby readily available to care for him. He has a history of falls with head trauma, is insulin-dependent and cannot self-administer. In addition to this, he is underweight and is showing early symptoms of dementia that have been documented by my family for some time now. These issues were expressed to staff at the meeting and subsequently brushed off. To make matters worse, Mr. Motta did not clearly address this on the discharge paper work, and now it has become extremely challenging to arrange the home health care my uncle clearly requires. This was not only infuriating but incredibly dangerous. The unprofessionalism, callousness, and clinical accountability of Mr. Motta and facility staff is deplorable. As a nurse practitioner myself, it was deeply disturbing to observe how these affairs are being handled at this facility. Families shouldn't have to fight this hard to receive even the barest minimum of care. I will pursue every appropriate recourse, because what my family has experienced should never be experienced by anyone else.

The aides and nurses were always attentive and prompt with care. Latara was fabulous with PT but Barbara and Alfreda phoned it in. Didn't seem too concerned about the patients improvement. Barbara is brusque, rude, condescending and is only interested in making her numbers look good not the progression of the patient.

My uncle is a resident there and they are doing a good job with him. A few times I've asked for some things and the nurse named Bridgette has always helped me. She always helps out and does it with a beautiful smile.

I don't see how there are all these 5 Star ⭐ Fake reviews. This is the worst Facility on earth. My Mother nearly died only after 3 weeks of being housed there.she went from 135lbs to 106lbs. My mother was being Neglected. This place doesn't help people it kills people. I watch my mother on video screaming in agony for Help.and nobody came to her room until I called the facility and let know my Mother is screaming in pain for help I'm watching it on Alexa video.
