The staff at Briarwood are empathetic, kind and knowledgeable. From their Business Office , Maintenance Department, Cleaning crew and especially the CNAs and Nurses they are the definition of compassionate. The kitchen staff tries hard to work with little, so not on them,but the meals are the kink in the Rehabs armor. Over cooked vegetables, under cooked rice and mostly boring mains. They do try to make the best of a tiny budget. All in all Briarwood is a fine Rehab Facility of which I am a Resident.
Everyone I have met so far, from the reception desk to the Unit Manager at the nursing station, is friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and competent. What a relief it is to drop by and find my relative clean, safe, and well cared for - a 180 degree swing from them living at home with one emergency after the other.
I don’t think they’re up for the wine social, but I might just drop by then to toast the staff!
My experience was wonderful. I had exceptional physical therapy, nursing staff,, my CNA touch my heart on the extra jobs they all did. This was the most friendly, supportive, and caring place. The team work attitudes inspired me to do better for myself.
The NIGHT time crew is wonderful. As far as the physical therapist, they can help with MINOR injuries (like a SMALL fall or accident), nothing major or traumatic that will take several months to recover from. I will also add that the occupational therapist Shannon is wonderful!
I choose this facility for my aunt, based on the cleanliness, closeness and staff. Gabrielle, the admission person was wonderful and super helpful. We moved her in two days ago, her bed was too high and it was a fall risk, they immediately changed it out for an appropriate bed. My aunt has dementia, bi-polar and schizophrenia, the nurses assured me that she was in good hands, and made sure to refill her medication, so she won't have an episode. I was most impressed with the cleanliness and it didn't smell like urine(like most places). So far, I am very impressed.
