ALTA REHAB AT WAUCONDA

An older facility from the 1970's with a newer addition near the rehab unit. The Entire Staff is pleasant and Hard working. Entire Staff does a good job within the confines of finances. Depending on insurance. This is a Long Term Limited Care and Short Term Rehabilitation Facility.

Alta Wauconda is a wonderful facility. The staff are caring and attentive. In addition to the great care, especially the rehabilitation services , the aesthetics of the building are wonderful. Beautiful private suites with large bathrooms/European showers. Each room has a fireplace which makes relaxing easy after a long day of therapy. I highly recommend Alta Rehab to anyone who is in need of short-term rehabilitation before returning to home.

My mother was recently discharged from Alta Rehab at Wauconda, and her stay was absolutely amazing! There were so many extraordinary aspects within this facility. First and foremost I would like to acknowledge some staff members - Soy (Office Manager), Jodi (Social Services),Neal and Mahesh (Physical Therapy), Karl (Occupational Therapy), Jignasha (Nurse Practitioner), and the phenomenal CNA and nursing staff. I commend their professionalism, effective communication, empathy and support. They were all very caring and kind to my mother and myself. I visited my mother daily while she was in rehab and always entered a caring, clean, and consistent environment. I am so thankful for this, as it put my mind at ease knowing she was valued and safe. During her time here, I was able to have the pleasure of meeting the residents and dining with them. Everyone was happy and expressed what a nice facility it was. In addition to the amazing caliber of care was the fun services offered such as bingo, manicures, and salon services. This is vital and essential for emotional well-being and quality of life. I highly recommend Alta Rehab at Wauconda for anyone who needs rehabilitation or long-term care for their loved ones :)

Dealing with the staff came easy as everyone was welcoming and very thorough in explaining the process and making sure we understood the expectations. As a first timer, things were rather frightening for both my mother and myself. The guidance and attentiveness received from this amazing team eased our minds and truly made our stay enjoyable.

The entire facility was very clean. Food was very good. The doctors, nurses, & therapists were very experienced. The staff was accommodating. Sometimes there was a delay to get assistance when you rang the red nurse bell but that was expected due to the amount of patients that were in the center
