Nancy was in the Dementia area at Quabaug Rehab and Skilled Care Center for 3 weeks following a fall. While there we probably encountered a dozen staff personnel including Nurses, O/T's, P/T's and Speech Pathologists. Every one of them was friendly to Nan and I. All were knowledgeable, timely, accommodating and frequently provided tips to help me in my future care giving. Being there and supporting them with Nan that length of time was a positive education for us. Thanks to all staff members there.

Nurses refused my grandma a simple ice pack for her leg because she didn’t have an “order” for one. Like that is complete bs, I don’t care if she has an order or not. If you are considering sending a loved one there, I would rethink your decision.

My mom went into this facility from Baystate Hospital. She was at Red Stone East Longmeadow short term took a fall there. Hard time holding food down . So from Redstone, Baystate to this place. Heard good things so hopes were high. It was good until the locked unit for dementia patients. Her whole stay in dementia unit she had no TV. I offered to bring one in but nope. She started sleeping during the day where I couldn't wake her. I was also was told she was complaining she couldn't breath. They defended themselves with giving oxygen and so on. I explained more then once that was NOT her normal. She doesn't need oxygen 24/7 . They disagreed and basically explained they knew what they were doing. My mom came home for 2 days AGAINST MY WISHES. Probably good she did because she had pneumonia . Hence why she couldn't breath . Off in ambulance she went never to return home again. She passed away within so many days later.

My husband David was a patient at Quaboag Rehabilitation for over a week. He came home on May 19th 2024. We had such a positive experience that we would highly recommend this facility. The staff were all helpful, efficient and, as David began to feel better, we even had fun with them. His stay was everything we could have hoped for. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them publicly. We were treated like family and will be forever grateful.

Patient falls on 12/03/24 I the Agency CNA go to nurse Addie so she say her name was but I don’t think it was to let her know that the patient was in pain, squirming into the bottom of the bed complaining of pain. I went to this nurse three times in a hour and a half timeframe to let her know that the patient was in very bad pain her response to me was very nonchalant as a CNA I know that nurses are busy at times, but if I come to you three times and you’re standing at your nursing kart out of those three times one of those times you could have went and checked on the patient but you didn’t in the midst of me, taking care of the other patients, I continue to go back in and check on the patient and I ask the patient had the nurse came in yet her answer was no She was still in the same condition. A lot of pain. I was given a bed bath to another patient when I left from out of her room to grab a diaper I noticed the nurse was in the room with the patient that was in pain, but the patient was on the floor. I immediately went in the room all the other staff came rushing in, so I left out of the room because I had to go and put the diaper on the other patient that I was already taken care of. OK they got the patient up off the floor. The unit manager comes to me and asked me to write a report and I did and one of the questions On the report, they asked you how the fall could have been prevented I gave my opinion. My opinion was if she would’ve had got checked on and given some medicine, maybe the fall could have been prevented but That’s my opinion. Here’s my question To nurse Addie, the unit manager and the overnight supervisor, who came on with the red hair my question to you ladies are what did I do to be put on the do not return list for giving my honest opinion about a fall that y’all know yall didn’t report i didn’t get into it with any staff members I helped everybody who needed me to help them I did my job and I did it Well, please tell me what I did wrong to be put on the do not return list for Clipboard I need answers
