Wow I am seeing a lot of bad reviews for this place so I felt I should leave one too after staying here for about a month back in the end of August and beginning of September. Ok I have been fighting pneumonia since Dec of 2024 till now and I've been to 3 facilitys all together this year ... Now I'm not gonna lie ,when I first got here I wanted nothing to do with this place , didn't even want to give it a chance. After being overdosed from my pain medication at the first rehab center I was at "not saying any names"... But I guess I just had a hard time trusting another human being with my life... My wife is the only one I trusted and still trust. But after the first week I had a whole different attitude about this place. I mean yeah I'm the the one that lies or cover up something for someone else mess. So no this place isn't perfect , but what place is? That's what I kept thinking and telling myself"well" at least it's not like the last joint I was just at. And check this out,at least the people in this place actually seems like they care about your ass . If I would have just opened my eyes a little bit to see that from the jump I know I would be a little bit more rehabilitated than I am to ight now... Nah I had a whole mess of things wrong with me when I first started this journey of rehabilitation. I was actuality bed ridden since the beginning March 2025 to August of 2025. I was diagnosed with o osteomyelitis that's when your bone have a bad infection in them. I also had an infection in my spine a d to top it all off MRSA in my bloodstream. I started out weighing 140 145 lbs by February 2025 I weighed 73 lbs... Yeah when I said I was dying,I wasn't joking or just saying it SMH... SO LUKE

Mikyla was very professional she came to see me at the last nursing home I was at to let me know that I was coming there. Any time I had a question she was quick to give me the right answers. She explained so that I could understand it. My experience with Canfield Healthcare Center was very good. The nursing staff and aides were professional offering a ear if I wanted or needed someone to talk to. The physical therapy team helped me out a lot. They were awesome they got me very far in my rehabilitation. They were a lot of fun to work with. I also had fun talking to some of the residents here as well.

This is the worst nursing home I have ever seen. I worked many years as an STNA, I have never seen this kind of poor care ever in my life. I just lost a family member due to the lack of care at this facility. My family member ended up with Sepsis, and was taking to the hospital (at the family's request). After being admitted to ICU, they performed a skin assessment. My family member had roughly 14 beds sores. These bed sores were everywhere on her body. These sores had been on her for a significant amount of time for them to look they way they did. My family member was bed bound and this facility did not turn her every 2 hours like they should have been. There were also many times they left her sitting in her own soiled diapers for hours. We were lucky if they even had adult briefs to put her in. There were numerous times we had to go buy her basic supplies so she didn't go with out. Please if you don't want your family member to die due to things that should never happen to anyone, do not place your loved one in Canfield Healthcare.

Very nice and clean place and wonderful hospitality. The rooms are well kept and it smells fairly nice! Ms. Robin kept us in the know as well. We really appreciate Marsha and the food smells phenomenal and tastes awesome according to the residents! From the Youngstown Community Center.

This place is a total joke. When you ask for 2 Tylenol and takes the nursing staff 6 hours to get it to you that is called neglecting your patient and 3 hours for a tums. I would have to say please don't place anyone in this facility they will be completely miserable. I sent back 4 trays of food because it was horrible. They would ask you what you didnt want to eat and then basically give what you didnt want. I'm a very large guy 6'3" 365lbs. I asked for a bed extension which took 4 days and they never put a extra piece of bed on just moved the bars out. Also, ask for a big wheelchair because they gave me a small one but when you would go through the hallway you would see these small people in the big wheelchairs but would make them switch that's neglecting your patient because I was supposed to have the ability to smoke but when you cant fit in the wheelchair that's another thing promised that I couldn't do. I had also asked about the wheel chair for 3-4 days and the staff which doesn't take the health of any of the patients seriously did absolutely nothing and always blamed it on the physical therapy staff, who was the only ones that were good. I signed out ama so they kept all my pills my insurance paid for one costing 729.00, they don't care if any of the residents that can't stand the deplorable condition of the building and the pure neglect from the nurses and aids that the decide they want to leave ama get punished. I was not the only one that wanted to leave. The 2 times i suffered in the small wheelchair to smoke that's what every patient was talking about. So if you want your loved one to actually get care don't choose this place. Also, 4 people share one bathroom and it would clog almost daily and it would take them hours to fix. I'm almost positive if the state would check everything they would be shut down. Thank you for reading.
