Carver Heights Estates Senior Living

We are coming from a 180 degree difference in many respects, but have only been here a couple weeks. Getting in- the staff was super good in showing me the place. Very accommodating in providing me an extensive tour and answering all my questions when shopping about. Very informative, thorough, and helpful in making the move in. Everyone we’ve met on the staff has been and continues to be great from any random caregiver to the Executive Director and the lady who arranged my rental. All interested in our satisfaction. My loved one says she feels as if she’d died and gone to heaven. I know these care teams have personal lives and endure a certain amount of stress, but so far, I have not had any issues with anyone here. When my loved one is happy, I know they are doing something right. It’s a nice place but what is so attractive is the care team involvement and all the activity time dedicated to the residents. Reasonably priced. Nice little secluded location off the road in the trees. Worth a look. I couldn’t be happier with it.

The facility is clean and attractive, but most important I've found the staff at Carver Heights to be friendly, concerned and professional. The home health PT working with my family member volunteered to me that her caregivers have a great rapport with her and are caring in a way that the PT doesn't see often at other facilities.

I am a previous ombudsman and current care navigator for Jet Health. I have been in to many communities in my time; and can say that Carver Heights is an excellent community. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and out, and always clean when I visit. The courtyard is an added bonus. Executive director Sam is friendly and experienced, and Stacy in Activites is a doll. The residents are a lot of fun to visit with and I love their ambassador program, where veteran residents help new ones get acquainted. This is a hidden gem in Arlington!

My mother became a resident of what was, at the time, Elmcroft of Arlington (now Carver Heights Estates) in June 2021. Since mom’s move-in, the facility has experienced its ups and downs, management turnovers and a buy out. To begin, I must emphasize that the direct care staff and the important work they provide has remained a constant. I've never had a moment's concern my mom's needs were not being met. She has expressed happiness with those who take care of her, telling me that everyone helps and are very kind to her. My only concern when I was making those difficult assisted living "tours" two years ago, was an apparent lack of activities at Elmcroft. There have been highs and lows in this area but I am happy to report this has definitely turned around. Stacey, the new director, has activities scheduled throughout the day, including movies & popcorn; crafts; bingo and trivia with prizes; daily exercise and regular outings just to name a few! We have family nights with live entertainment and food, giving us all a chance to get together for relaxation, fun and the opportunity for family members to meet. The current team at Carver Heights is outstanding and the facility is the best it’s been. I feel part of the family when I walk in and I am especially happy knowing mom is safe, happy and active. She has staff nearby to assist her and a home with friends. I am confident about entrusting her care to the employees. From the 1st person you meet, Gerri, who wears many hats; long time weekend receptionist Betty; Heidi, our marketing manager; the return of our much loved nurse, Courtney; Stacey director in activities🤩; Erica who oversees dietary; as well as our hardworking maintenance director, Troy; and last but not least, our manager Sam. Every department is now run by a person perfectly suited to their position. Each is capable, personable and works well together! Mom and I are thankful to the management team, along with the dedicated care staff and residents that make Carver Heights the friendly, comfortable, safe and happy place it is!

Great facility and caring staff that my Dad loves!!! We couldn't have asked for an easier admissions process and better staff. We inquired about respite care over Labor Day weekend and Heidi responded over the holiday, sending us all the information we needed. She, Sam and the entire staff went above and beyond making sure Dad was comfortable and happy. When his chair was a little low for him to easily get out of, they swapped it out with a recliner that worked perfectly for him. Dad was so happy with his 2 weeks in respite care, he transitioned directly to a resident. They even loaned him some furniture as we furnished his new apartment. He's very proud of his room and couldn't believe how homelike it was. His floorplan gives him plenty of room. Courtney has been great in setting up his medications and ensuring he's taking all his meds when he is supposed to. Dad loves the food and looks forward to meal times. It is a great relief to us knowing he is so happy and well taken care of by the entire staff at Carver Heights Estates! They couldn't have made the process any easier for us or Dad. We highly recommend both the facility and staff.
