The third member of my family just moved into Vantage Pointe Assisted Living. The first two, my mother and brother were residents on the memory care floor. The new management is doing a fantastic job and the improvement over the last few years is sensational. I was so afraid my sister would need a long period of adjustment, but I was so pleasantly surprised! She loves her apartment and has made beautiful friendship's already. She's no longer lonely or depressed, but happy and content. For this I'm so grateful. The staff has been so helpful and supportive in making the transition. The nurses and activities director keep the residents busy, healthy and engaged in so many activities. I would highly recommend to the families and caregivers needing help and support in the care of their loved ones to check them out. Believe me, as a retired nurse anesthetist I did.I can now rest and stop worrying about my sis. It's also very close to the family and the facility has easy parking and access 24 hours a day(with security doors with access key pads, of course)
This place looks beautiful on the outside but the inside is neglect !!! Please do your home work when putting a loved one here if you do visit daily . Come at evening meals if in memory care it’s disgusting. There is one care taker she is amazing but she’s only one !
Moving my mom into Vantage Pointe Village Assisted Living was--by far--the best decision we could have ever made for her. Because she needed somewhere that she could continue her physical rehab, I found Vantage Pointe Village because of its strong physical therapy programs. From the moment I first interacted with the community relations guy, Zachary F., he put me at ease and I had this immediate peace that this was the place for Mom. After touring the community and seeing the beautiful spaces, I was even more convinced. Everyone greeted me and made me feel like I was making the best decision for our family. Sheila, the Executive Director, is amazing. Her care means the world to us! Matthew, the Director of Nursing, is fabulous, too. Mom loves her rehab team, led by Zachary B., and all the people providing her daily care. I can't say enough good things about the team at Vantage Pointe Village! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My sister is new to Vantage Pointe Village, but her first 30 days have been wonderful. The staff has made every effort to accommodate her needs and make her feel welcome. She requires a great deal of assistance, and the PA's response times have been very good. Her room is clean and neat, as is the rest of the facility. She enjoys the food and the activities, especially her weekly shopping trips. Meds are being dispensed on schedule. She has made friends with other residents, and loves taking her power chair outside for some fresh air. We are very pleased we chose Vantage Pointe Village.
Very nice facility in looks....also very nice people in your face. Nurses desire alot of knowledge.....never return calls and don't check on their patients as often as needed. They don't have the knowledge to call pcp and get orders they require to give meds. Instead they let the meds sit there for months until family realizes it and then family has to do the work! Two of their nursing staff are great...crystal and candy...but rarely see crystal anymore? Such a big turn over in help for the nurses? They decide to increase agreed rent which is very expensive in the blink of an eye! They charge for delivering his food to him on occasion, when he is weak, or sick, from chemo treatments. 5 dollars each time? Freeze? They just have to step in the elevator and off of it? I love the facility as my dad does as well...but the care is my main concern! 49000 per year makes me expect qualified and skilled nurses to be on duty 24 hours a day....and not have so many patients that they can't properly care for them! A private apartment...yet his clothes come up missing? Purchasing a new wardrobe three times in less than a year is a bit too much? His laundry basket and cell phone misteriously disappeared as well? Some man named John supposedly has a key and comes in and helps himself? If I see any of the cacky pants ...shorts...or missing jeans or overalls on him....I will say something to him myself. I think if you pay for privacy...you should have it...especially when it comes to your clothes! I'm looking for more secure facilities! Nursing staff is terrible! Call in 5 hours before picking him up, and still wait 50 minutes on his meds! They can't keep help in the nursing department. There is a huge problem with the nurses! And I'm not sure where the 2000.00 per month starting range comes on, because it's much closer to 5000.00 per month, and that's a 1 bedroom apartment with only assistance required is to administer meds!
