This review is regarding a particular staff member and may not be reflective of the services provided in general. As a covering physician I received a page regarding a patient/resident. Oralia, the staff person who paged me, initially was unsure of which patient she was contacting me about. After I reminded her who the patient was, she came off as demanding, irate and belligerent. She was inept in providing me with pertinent information with regards to the demands that she had. Additionally, she felt it necessary to use expletives in her interaction with me. If she had the poor disposition to become that easily irate when asked to provide pertinent information for my decision making, I would hate see how it my translate to caring for a patient that requires much more sensitivity and patience. Perhaps Oralia was having a bad morning, but perhaps she does not have the temperament to be working in the health care field.

I do professional guardianship services and therefore am very familiar with many assisted living facilities around the metro area. I love Gardens Care Senior Living. The properties I am familiar with (Saddle Rock, Homestead, Indian Tree, Bel Aire, Cherry Knolls) are beautiful homes with caring staff who do an exceptional job. The owner Jennifer Conrad goes absolutely above and beyond to find unique solutions for my clients, who often have faced significant trauma and displacement. She is an out of the box thinker who truely values the seniors comfort and dignity over profits. Over the years, they have taken on very difficult clients and I have seen my clients make 180 degree turns under the care of her staff. I could not recommend them enough. The Saddle Rock facility is exceptionally beautiful and it is a gift to area seniors that they take Medicaid. Comparable facilities are strictly private pay or require significant spend down.

I moved my father from a facility in northern Colorado to Renew Saddle Rock (RSR) in early May 2019. The change was like taking him from being in a black and white movie to being in a high definition color film. I am so pleased with the care he gets at RSR, from the administration, to nursing, to hands-on care, to housekeeping, to activities, and more. Their chef Holly is amazing and so dedicated! The entire staff is committed to excellence, and my Dad is simply happier at RSR. They frequently keep me up-to-date with their events, and I have quick access to all staff members. RSR is quite new and looks it, and it fits in well with its surrounding neighborhood. I am so happy that Dad is living at Renew Saddle Rock! > I'm terribly sad to report that Dad recently died. I miss him so very much. The RSR staff were terrifically supportive and compassionate during his final days. I greatly appreciate all they did. They were wonderful.

UPDATE - My previous review was for a community that has since gone under new ownership and an entire team change. I have not had any experience with the current ownership or care team. Previous review: I have had the pleasure of working with Renew for 3+ years as a partner in the senior care industry. I always have great confidence when recommending Renew Saddle Rock Memory for it's progressive-thinking care model and compassionate care team! This community is truly set apart in the way they look at how to care for our loved ones suffering with dementia and have done their research and training so they can help families they work with understand and navigate what to expect. As a former practicing physical therapist assistant, you learn one of the most important things to being healthy and strong is nutrition but for seniors it becomes much more difficult in communal living settings where meals are prepared for large numbers. Renew has created a culinary structure to ensure they have the best chances of providing proper nutrition to their residents, even in small portions, or in finger foods for those who don't sit long enough to complete a meal, as the desire for food decreases. This detail is so important and often not a focus in assisted living or memory care settings! The community itself is beautiful, in a quiet area of town, the floor plan is open allowing for lots of natural light and room for residents to walk about, not to mention a secure courtyard area where they can enjoy the outdoors safely. I highly recommend Renew Saddle Rock to anyone looking for a memory care setting for their loved one!

Renew Saddle Rock is amazing! My mom has been there several years. She loves the staff, the cleanliness and the food (Mediterranean diet)! All care givers are exceptional! They understand the needs, likes, and desires of each person. We have been so pleased!! Highly recommended!!
