I love this place! Every time I visit, they have something going on, activities for the residents, and they seem happy. The staff here is also very nice and friendly. I enjoy working with Everett and Veronica. I highly recommend it!
I have been a resident for about a month. I spent quite a long time investigating retirement communities, and this was my choice. I cannot imagine a more positive upbeat place, mainly because the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. The other residents are very friendly. There’s a great deal of shopping and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The food is usually pretty good and often very good. Management is in the process of updating the rooms with granite kitchens and vinyl wood floors. However, three of my four windows have broken seals, which make them hard to see out of. I was on the list to get the windows replaced, but I discovered that someone had taken my name off the list.
Having lived at this place almost a year after moving here from NYC, I would have to say it offers everything I was looking for and more. Tasty meals cooked by a professional chef, caring and compassionate staff, calendar full of social activities with steady stream of live music, in which residents are encouraged to participate to the level of their interest and abilities. The location of this spot is super convenient being 15min walk from Central Market Westgate and Flow Yoga, one of the best yoga studios in town! The main drawback to living in a retirement community like this one is that you make friends with people who sometimes don’t stick around!
This is one of those hidden Austin treasures. It has large beautiful trees and a warm welcoming interior. I always see the residents hanging out and talking. It looks like they’re having fun. I remember one time I observed their executive director Everett be so kind and gentle with one of the residents. I have gone to a lot of buildings, for many years and had never seen something like that before. Executive directors generally stay in their offices. I can really only speak to the Continental from the perspective of a home health clinician. The residents seem active and engaged. Also, the location is pretty hard to beat and Veronica is a pleasure to work with.
As a local Senior Provider, this community is stunning. Tucked away so its quiet, the staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Pet friendly and the best part is that their restaurant has meals 24hrs, so if a resident is hungry, there is always a meal provided. Don't forget to see their premium apartments, what a beautiful space!
