Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center
Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center is a licensed assisted living facility located in Cedar Park, Texas, specializing in memory care services for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Assisted Living Facilities provide housing, meals, personal care, and support services in a residential setting designed to promote independence while providing needed assistance.
Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center has a licensed capacity of 66 residents. Services typically include assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, eating), medication management, meals, housekeeping, laundry, social and recreational activities, transportation, and 24-hour staff availability. Some facilities offer specialized memory care.
Who We Serve: Assisted Living Facilities serve older adults and people with disabilities who need help with daily activities but do not require the 24-hour skilled nursing care provided in nursing homes.
Memory Care Services: This facility offers specialized memory care services, including staff trained in dementia care techniques, activity programming designed for cognitive engagement, and appropriate safety measures. When evaluating memory care options, families should consider staff training, staff-to-resident ratios, security features, and the approach to managing behavioral symptoms.

Payment Options: In Texas, Medicaid may help pay for assisted living through the STAR+PLUS. Eligibility is based on both financial and functional criteria. Contact Texas Health and Human Services or visit https://www.hhs.texas.gov/services/health/medicaid-chip/programs-services/long-term-care to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply. This is a wonderful facility that specifically deals with memory care. What makes CR stand out is the employees . They truly care and have wonderful programs and take such good care of her even though she is not the easiest resident. I feel so lucky that my mom is under the care of this team. She previously was at a much more expensive, newer senior care in Lakeway (Belmont Village) that has no business having a memory care wing . If your loved one needs late stage memory care, Cedar Ridge is wonderful.
I had a wonderful experience with Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center. I had moved my mom who had Alzheimer’s Dementia in with me from the Sherman, Texas area and at the beginning everything was perfect. But then after living with me for 3 years and the Covid Pandemic and my mom progressing in her disease things got hard. I found Cedar Ridge when I was checking out all the facilities around me that have respite programs. I loved Cedar Ridge the best so I placed her for a trial respite stay. I was able to watch her without her seeing me and I saw how much better she was doing at Cedar Ridge than she was doing in my home. In my home she was sitting in a recliner 24/7 watching The Game Show Network. And being all grumpy with me and calling me Satan. It was a little rough when I first admitted mom but it seemed like after about a month she was thanking me for finding her such a nice place. She loved all her friends at Cedar Ridge. And she definitely loved the food and the treats they got when they played games. I remember I would take mom to my house for holidays and birthdays and she was always ready to go back to Cedar Ridge. Practically skipping when she walked in the door making a beeline for the dining room. She enjoyed the companionship of others that were in the same situation she was in. I am so glad I found Cedar Ridge. I knew she was in a safe place and I was able to take trips with my family without worrying about her. I love all the workers at Cedar Ridge. I don’t think I have ever met anyone that works there that I didn’t like. Corrie runs a tight ship. And I really truly feel like we are all family at Cedar Ridge. My beautiful mom passed away recently. She had a very peaceful journey and passing. Placing my mom at Cedar Ridge was one of the best things I ever did. I love Cedar Ridge and I plan on going over and volunteering when I can. That place is awesome.
Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center is truly a phenomenal community—one that stands out for its top-tier care, beautiful surroundings, and dedicated team. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how special this place is. The environment is warm, inviting, and designed with both comfort and elegance in mind. What truly makes them exceptional is the people, and Corrie VanRensburg is a perfect example of that. She is absolutely amazing—going above and beyond to ensure that every resident and family feels supported, valued, and cared for. Her kindness, dedication, and passion for what she does are evident in every interaction, making a real difference in the lives of those she serves. Thanks for all you do for our seniors!
I cannot fathom how the one person gave Cedar Ridge a one star review. My mom has lived there since May of 2020 and has been given the best care. She has Lewy Body dementia and her doctor gave her 6 months to live. Well, it's now December 2024 and she's still going strong. The staff at Cedar Ridge take such great care of her. They rock!
We couldn’t be happier with the care that mom is receiving at Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center. She loves participating in the many activities throughout the day, she enjoys the food and going out on field trips. Most importantly, the staff are incredibly caring and love what they do.
