Harmony at Oakbrooke

We spent a month looking for a place for our mother. After going to many facilities between her therapy and us looking for a place we were recommended by somebody to look here. It was the last place we looked and agreed it was a good choice. She has been living there for just over a year now. She has adjusted to her new living environment. We like that she has friends and loves the staff . So instead of being in her home alone and not able to get around. She has plenty of company and activities to do if she wants to. She did not want to leave her home at first. But, seems happy now. Which is our only goal and the facility’s. To make sure she’s not in danger and has a happy rest of her life. It gives us relief knowing she is in caring hands and we don’t have to worry anymore.

Harmony is amazing! My uncle has been there for over a year. He started in independent living and when he started having more severe issues as his dementia progressed, the staff noticed and suggested memory care. We were heartbroken and scared of what this transition would look like, but the director Jennifer and the other staff were so helpful. The transition went very smoothly. Uncle Keith is always so amazed that everyone knows his name. They treat him with kindness and respect. They have worked with us when we needed help. The facility itself is well maintained and a pleasure to come visit. When we are walking around the building, Keith always comments on how beautiful it is and what a nice place he lives in. Finding the right place for Keith was so hard. But we are reminded all the time that we chose the best place for him. We give Harmony 5 stars for many reasons, but the staff who show such love and care for my uncle would be my number 1 reason! They have an incredibly difficult job and knowing that my uncle is being cared for even when his dementia makes it difficult is priceless to me.

I was originally planning on using the Harmony just outside my neighborhood. It had been renovated, and of course was close by. When I was told they had no openings in memory care for my 100 year old mom, I was very disappointed. However, they pointed me in the direction of another Harmony, at Oakbrooke. Although it was about a 30 minute drive, each way, I found It to be a very nice facility. I became more enamored with the facility over time. Starting from the top, the Executive Director, Jennifer Stell, on down to the Med Techs and the care givers, they were all very professional and caring. It can be difficult for family members to have a loved one attend a facility such as this for the first time, but the staff made my mom feel right at home. I had comfort knowing she was being well taken care of. A big thanks to all the staff at Harmony at Oakbrooke who cared for my mom over the last 16 months.

The team at Harmony is always so flexible and willing to work with my client families, even when the conditions may be a little outside of the norm. I appreciate their attention to detail and compassion they show for my clients and their residents.

Huge fan of this community! Our personal care business has taken care of several seniors here and I've always been impressed with the level of service, the peaceful atmosphere and the genuine joy of the residents. They really know how to have fun and our clients tell us they treasure the friendships they've made here. Highly recommend!
