I had a family friend there for alittle over 2 months. First of all the one time fee of $1500 for upkeep on property is ridiculous it’s an outdated dump. I was not notified of some incidents by management, I found out by staff when I went to visit..that my 82 year old friend had been in a altercation on one incident and another he wrote me a note that I never received stating he wanted to die. When I confronted management as usual they knew nothing about it. Then my friend had a massive stroke in middle of the night and was taken to Cottonwood hospital where they air vac him to Phoenix. The assisted living home left me a voice message that he had been transferred to a Phoenix hospital, when I called the home they didn’t know what hospital after several calls I found him in Phoenix. Not one time did anyone from home call and check on him, but when I called the home they said they would take him back. Their communication is horrible they do not return texts, emails or phone calls. When you speak to Monica or Melissa in administration they always say ..oh I was not aware you were trying to reach us..one excuse after another. The final straw I called and asked if we could be reimbursed for last 5 days of June as he was staying in Phoenix they said yes it takes about 30 days, I called in July to check on status and Meliss/Monica we will check on it and get back to you..after one month I call August 28 and ask the ladies again oh we will check on it and get back to you finally I called September 8th after being out on hold for 15 minutes they replied you don’t get a refund you didn’t give us a 30 day notice..now how I can give a 30 day notice when he was air vac to Phoenix. This place is a joke..its outdated, the 2 office ladies Monica and Mellissa will not communicate at all with you snd if you get a chance to talk to them they say the same thing all the time (I was unaware you were trying to get ahold of me) I didn’t choose this place he was put there by Flagstaff Hosputal snd when I read the reviews and on my first visit, I didn’t like this place. I feel sorry for all the residents there. I would not recommend this place st all

My husband, with advanced Alzheimer’s, has moved in to the Verde Valley assisted living. I have been very impressed with the level of care provided. He has very individualized needs, and almost every day I would check on how he is doing. The staff could speak in detail about how he was doing and how they had handled his particular needs. The communication has been excellent. Thank you, Melissa and all your staff.

My dad stayed here for less than a month,he went in with 4 suitcases containing everything he needed and when he passed away we were given 2 empty suitcases and about 10 toiletry items. Every call they were in a meeting and unavailable to me, all his belongings were gone and no one has ever explained why, leaving us with the worst kind of pain, we lost him and all his belongings . Numerous calls got me nowhere, stay away from this place and save your family the grief that Verde Valley Assisted Care left my family with, noone should have to go through this

I suffered severe mental & emotional abuse from several staff members & even the doctor. I was refused pain RX's that I badly needed because I refused RX's that I didn't want or need. This is against the law. No one can force another human being to take RX's. One RX they gave me knocked me out cold for between 6 & 8 hours. I refused to take it any more. Another RX they forced me to take was Lorazepam which was too strong of a dose for me & knocked me out also. I suffered from malnutrition while incarcerated there because I did not get enough food. I still suffer from it to this day. Do not go there or send any one in your family there. There is no kind of therapy whatsoever---not mental or physical. They do NOT have nurses on staff 24/7. Only med. techs. The smiling staff seen in photos here are nasty, disrespectful, rude & not at all helpful. Mgt. did nothing to help me while I was imprisoned there. Be careful where you send your loved ones. This is not the place for a rabid dog to be. They also stole personal items from me which were never returned.

I just want to say my mother before my Granny lived at Austin House. All of the Staff were and are the most genuinely caring people I have ever come across. I always felt they truly cared from the heart. Loved the welcome feeling the staff as well as the residents made me feel . Spending a full day was always a pleasure. So very thankful my 98year old Grannys last week's were spent with people that went above and beyond what her local family couldn't (wouldn't) be bothered with. Blessed I feel. Thank you one and All at Austin House ❤❤❤
