Evergreen Place Supportive Living Decatur

Looked at this facility to place my father in law. Well maintained, clean and people out bring social. Staff was generally friendly. The problem we ran into is that my FIL would have to go in under Medicaid. There were some questions about his property and disposing of it that I was given wrong information on. Other questions couldn’t be answered without simply filling out the complete application process. I’ve consulted with 3 lawyers who work in elder law, 2 financial advisors and 2 social workers. Evergreen has said they’re all wrong. Now I can’t even get a response to emails, phone calls or call backs. They kept pushing private pay to get him in the facility and then switching over to Medicaid later. Unfortunately, it seems as if their standards are based solely on maximizing profits by avoiding certain client groups. When looking into senior living for your loved ones, do your research and get legal advice. It’ll help you weed out places like this.

We recently moved my mom into the legacy wing. It is clean. It is calm. The activity director, Sue, is amazing. The director, Stacy, is wonderful to work with. The CNA's & nursing staff are great. Their job is not easy in memory care but they treat the residents with respect. The apartments are nice sized. My mom has only been there a short time, but even the process to get her moved in was positive. So far I'm very thankful for this residence.

We are well taken care of here They offer so many activities for everyone They care for us in mind, body and sou I feel very blessed to be here. I've made wonderful friendships also. We are also allowed our small animals to provide that additional comfort. Here's a picture of my Mango.
