CountryHouse Memory Care in Elkhorn took excellent care of my mother during the last month of her life in October and when she was on hospice. I could not have asked for better. Their unit staff on every shift, the health aides, CNA’s, and med aides are great, and consistently went above and beyond not only for my mother, but for me also and they didn’t have to do that. They truly care about their residents. I saw it every day, all day long, the little extra sweet things they would do to make a resident feel safe and like they mattered greatly to them. I’m so appreciative to the CountryHouse owners, Agemark Senior Living, and their CEO, Marty Hug, for always being so wonderfully hands-on, and putting every single resident’s best care first at every one of their facilities. Also making every family member know that they are so important to every resident’s well-being. Marty is the best in the business. My mother was at a different Agemark facility in Omaha for three years from December 2019 to September 2022 - and there she also received the same outstanding care and sincere compassion from staff member. Especially during Covid. My family and I are grateful beyond words. Thank you.
Highly recommend Country House. Excellent staff of caring professionals who provided such good care for our often difficult father. Clean, well lit, open facility and fantastic meals. Great communication. Many activities in which the residents participate together. Can’t say enough about how this staff took Dad in and really raised his spirits for most of his stay. Thank you!
Excellent care. Caregivers are always attentive, compassionate and thoughtful. Food is consistently superb. Residents get to participate in many fun and innovative activities. Facility is new and is an inviting and warm environment.
Felt the need to move my 94 y/o mother from this facility after less than a year. Major reason was she had fallen sometime during the night and we received no notification. Only discovered after a visit later in the day and noticed a knot on her head. After the fall she had been put in bed which is NOT recommended after a head injury. Initially, the Nurse denied she had fallen but when one of the caretakers verified it the blame was placed on the night shift therefore it wasn't her problem. Discussed the issue with the facility manager who promised to get some answers and get back to me. Two days later she made contact requesting a meeting at which we were expecting to get some info regarding the incident. However, that wasn't the case. The meeting was to inform us of the $1,000 + rate increase they were going to add due to "extra needs". There were issues prior to this incident, ie: unclean toilet, dusty furniture, Rx mix-up, but the lack of notification, allowing her to go to bed with a head injury, and no promised follow up made it evident a change of venue was needed which we did February 1st.
Beautiful facility, Caring staff. I can relax knowing my mother is in a safe and secure place and is being well taken care of.
