Fairmont Assisted Living is an awesome facility beautiful,clean,safe & secure. The staff, nurses & nurse's assistants are patient, helpful & kind. This place was awesome! Nursing staff was fabulous. They helped my dad in the last remaining month of his life. He was treated well and got to do what he wanted. However, There was a hiccup with returning a refund to me. Michelle, the office manager, was fabulous with keeping me updated. When Michelle had gone on vacation. I called the executive director for DAYS and left messages, and she never returned a phone call. Very unprofessional of her. Otherwise, this place would be 5 stars.

My parents joined Sunrise Farmington Hills three years ago, and my mom is now in the Reminiscence memory care neighborhood. The community is attractive and very clean. The staff, to a person, has bent over backwards to make her feel comfortable, secure and cared for. They greet me like family when I walk through the front door. There are staff dedicated to activities, geared to each resident’s abilities. My mother’s care staff (including specially trained “med-techs” who meticulously manage daily medicine administration) work hard and are always willing to respond to my requests. The nursing staff is knowledgeable, gentle, and very patient with both my mom and me. I am glad I chose Sunrise Farmington Hills.

I have been so pleased with the care that my mom has received here in the Reminisce area. The Care Managers are so caring toward the residents, and mom is really happy here. There are luncheon outings, daily exercise, crafts, and many other activities that the residents can participate in if they chose. The area is comfortable and homey with a dining area, kitchen, and living room area along with a sunroom right in the Reminisce area. I visit often, and I feel so welcome when I am there. It feels like family. In fact, this IS family to mom, and I rest easier knowing that she is with people who really care. It's a difficult decision to place a parent in any type of assisted living, but I'm confident that we made the correct decision in selecting this Sunrise facility.

The facility is attractive and well maintained and the staff is responsive to resident and family needs. They are beginning to reinstate the activities such as musical entertainment which were curtailed during the pandemic. The cookouts on summer holidays and buffets for cold weather holidays to which family are invited have been delicious and lots of fun. The in house nursing staff and contract health care professionals (docs, PTs, podiatrist, RNs) have taken excellent care of my mother. I had to move her here from another facility which was wretched bordering on life threatening. That was 4 years ago and she's in better shape now than she was then. We are both very happy with Sunrise.
