About

Lake View Terrace Memory Care Residence

Lake View Terrace Memory Care Residence is a licensed assisted living center-directed located in Havasu City, Arizona, specializing in memory care services for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. In Arizona, residential care facilities are typically regulated by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Division of Licensing Services.

Lake View Terrace Memory Care Residence has a licensed capacity of 72 residents. Memory care communities provide specialized programming and a secure environment designed to support residents with cognitive impairment. Staff receive training in dementia care techniques, and the physical environment is designed to reduce confusion and promote safety.

When evaluating memory care options, families should consider: staff training and certifications in dementia care, staff-to-resident ratios, security features to prevent wandering, activity programming designed for cognitive engagement, and the facility's approach to managing behavioral symptoms.

Payment Options: In Arizona, Medicaid may help pay for residential care services through the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS). Eligibility is based on both financial and functional criteria. Contact Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System or visit https://www.azahcccs.gov/Members/GetCovered/Categories/longtermcare.html to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply. Wait lists are common for waiver programs, so applying early is recommended.

Families researching assisted living center-directed options should verify the facility's current license status, review any inspection reports, and schedule a visit to assess whether the environment and services meet their loved one's needs. For more information about residential care regulations in Arizona, visit Arizona Department of Health Services, Division of Licensing Services.

Licensing requirements and regulations may change. We recommend verifying current requirements directly with your state's licensing agency.

This is the BEST place for memory care in AZ. The ED Pamela has put so much effort into making this facility what it is, and the entire staff works so hard to make it a great place for their residents. They are continuously providing free education for the community, their staff, caregivers, and family members, which really shows their commitment to providing excellent care and raising awareness for all things memory care. It is always perfectly clean, the staff is warm and inviting, and the residents are treated like family.

This community is one of the most attractive and inviting communities I have been to.I have toured this Community. It is being newly remodeled top to bottom. The staff were friendly as they enjoyed acraft project together. This place has a very comfortable caring feeling.

I don't where to start with this place. I only agreed to one star because I have to. The facility is horrible and very close to neglect. The only way they are still open is because it's a memory care facility and the clients aren't mentally capable of defending themselves. My grandmother was in this facility and was attacked by another resident. It is dirty, and unsanitary. A few staff members I can speak positively about, Paula and Juice and Britney were nice and caring. My grandmother misses them. But that's it. It's a prison for elderly and depressing to say the least. Definitely overpriced for the services rendered. If looking for a place for your loved ones go elsewhere. If you don't care about their happiness then by all means go here.

I thought this would be a good place for my dad, I couldn't have been more wrong. Dirty, understaffed, poor management which was never around and worst of all neglect...First family visit we notice a large lump on my father shoulder, not one person there ever notice, we call 911 and paramedics picked him up. Come to find out he had a dislocated clavicle. By April he was in alot of pain around his hips, again NO ONE listened to him, he faked a heart attack so he could go to the ER to be looked at, he had a fracture hip. WE lost OUR father today from Feb 26 to May 18, 3 months of hell. I never would have thought my last visit would be the last. Maybe if management took a better look at thier staff and used the amount of money the resident have to pay into their employee, the quality of service and care would be better. Apparently my father life didn't matter to you, well he matter to us!! We were told lies or never talk to...I highly recommend looking for a better place for your family. Lakeview didn't even have the dignity to inform us, of our father passing they told Ryan with Compassus he would have too.

My grandmother was moved to this faculty less than a year ago. At first, we were glad to have her in a place where she was safe. She had been living alone and had definite signs of dementia and concerns for her safety. They advertised activities and trips for entertainment purposes so we thought it would be good for her. She is very active despite her memory issues. She paid extra to have her own room because she likes her privacy, and it would be easier for her to adjust. This did not stop people from rummaging thru her room and taking items. The shared bathroom was disgusting as well as the bathroom in the visiting area has sticky floors from urine. When i brought it to the attention of a staff member, they told me that was the night shifts job and walked away. It was too early in the day to have happened that day, so who knows how often it actually gets cleaned. Her medication was always out and took forever to refill. Makes you wonder where it went..... They say they offer activities, but they do not. It is simply a place that my grandmother was rotting away. My grandmother was assaulted by another resident who was drunk and had come into the room in the middle of the night. Bruising on her arms and traumatized by the event, the staff tried brushing it under the rug and simply said, " it was under investigation." After that, the office manager became difficult for my mother to work with. Intentionally messing up her billing so she would then receive an eviction notice after several attempts to pay the balance, she then brushed her off and blamed corporate. I would never put my loved one in this facility. It is not a good place. It was not impressive from the beginning, but it was ok enough compared to her living alone. Havasu could definitely use more options as far as long-term care facilities.
