Cadence Huntersville

After exhausting myself & a private caregiver to care for my mother with dementia, we began the search for a memory care facility. Once we visited Cadence Huntersville, our search was over! We were welcomed with open arms and my mom (& I) were wrapped up in care & love. The care staff are amazing at meeting my mom and her memory care friends where they are at any given moment. They exhibit boundless compassion & patience - keeping the atmosphere light and positive. The care team is truly a team - they work together and support each other. They keep my mom busy with various activities which helps with her disposition, and have family activities which help me to spend purposeful time with my mom rather than spinning through her dementia cycles. I cannot say enough good things about Cadence Huntersville. I feel so very fortunate to have found a safe and caring place for my mom. I am editing to add I do not want to give the impression Cadence Huntersville is perfect - none of us are and no place is perfect. But every concern I’ve brought to the staff has been handled quickly. The staff educate me on their processes so I can be a better partner in my mom’s care. The more they know my mom and the quirks of her dementia, the better they are able to anticipate her needs. The entire staff leads with love and care. This is what makes Cadence Huntersville so wonderful.

My mother was a resident here for six months until a job change allowed me to care for her more closely. (She is now in skilled nursing.) She moved out over a year ago, and I gave it some time before leaving a review. I have wished many times mother could have stayed. She LOVED it here. The people are friendly and nice. She made many friends whom she still communicates with. Their events are next-level. The place is immaculate and decorated so beautiful (which mother loved). The staff are kind and compassionate. We used the private dining room for holidays on occasion as we lived out of state at that time. The property is well kept. They are good with communication and fair with their level rating of each patient's needs. Monica is a great Nursing Director. Highly recommend.

Heavenly Care Services visited Cadence ALF/Memory Care in Huntersville. What a beautiful community. The team is awesome! The thought that went into creating this community is amazing. Lots of options and activity for residence and families. I will definitely recommend this gem for your loved ones!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cadence Huntersville and was thoroughly impressed. The community is exceptionally well-kept, and clearly maintained with great pride. What truly stood out to me, however, was the staff; every person I met was genuinely friendly, contributing to a family-like atmosphere. It is clear the residents are well cared for and cherished here.

I do not recommend Cadence of Huntersville for any family member who requires assistance with daily living. While the facility may be suitable for independent individuals who do not need regular care, our experience was deeply disappointing. As a family member who witnessed the situation firsthand, I can attest that the staff were warm and welcoming during the initial tour and contract signing. However, once my father-in-law moved in and began experiencing issues with the care provided, the tone and responsiveness changed significantly. We encountered ongoing problems with the nursing staff, the facility manager, and the head of nursing. Despite raising concerns in person, over the phone, and in writing, very little was done to address the issues. My father-in-law often waited up to two hours after pressing the call button before receiving assistance—sometimes no one came at all, and he had to repeatedly call the front desk for help. Thankfully, we were able to move him to a new facility where he is now thriving—and at a significantly lower cost. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution families to carefully evaluate the level of care and responsiveness before choosing Cadence of Huntersville for a loved one who needs support.
