My mom has been here for the past year in "Reflections" memory care in Jericho. This transition is unimaginable. Overall, there is a big effort by key staff to do the best they can in a very difficult field of care. The "care" is uneven as it all depends on the individual staff. There are true rock stars and then not. The building & rooms is absolutely beautiful, vibrant and always clean. I really believe the directing staff do their absolute best to excel and more than that I constantly see change and adjustments to get better which is amazing! I am so grateful for the communication ---me and my family are very involved and have a good communication with the team. Thank you so much- Gina, Curtis, Sylvia, Bruce, Nancy, Pam, Lindsey, Chris, Bernadette, and all the staff that are truly dedicated there is a long list of names. The day program which is key and the lifeline for keeping the memory care residents active and living life during the day has a rock star leading the way Jennifer Kelleher which has set a tone and level of excellence---she is SO passionante about her residents and knows how to engage and uplift---brings pure JOY to the room. She has set a high bar and a phenomenal example of excellence to The Bristal Jericho. It warms my heart when I know Jennifer & Vicki are in the building. Vicki who has been trained by Jennifer is teaching in the same capacity and brings the same compassion, care & fun to the day to day experience!! Knowing Jennifer & Vicki are on the schedule for the day makes me smile! Adding Matt- Music to the day program has also big a huge addition! We know what a difficult world this is and are so grateful to have a team of caring people to partner with us on this journey.
My mom has received the most exceptional care at The Bristal in Jericho. The facility is immaculate and beautiful and the staff is so warm and welcoming. Bruce , Pam, and Gina worked so hard to help my mom have a seamless transition… they are always available to talk to and truly care about the residents wellbeing. There are a number of activities to do throughout the day… and having the wellness center on premises is comforting. If a loved one is contemplating moving to The Bristal in Jericho I think they will be very happy there!
The Bristal Assisted Living at Jericho is a pleasant, nurturing, polite and generous location. It's cleanliness is beyond measure their safety and security are paramount to the staff and management. As a practicing private nurse my patient lives here on the reflections side. Ms. Jennifer Kelleher, who belongs to the Health & Lifestyle Department (HLD) is one of the most well known members here at the Bristal Assisted living at Jericho. Jen truly is inspiring, kind, compassionate and patient, nothing short of an asset. She is always and I mean always welcoming to the residents and staff. Her work ethic goes unchallenged, and unmeasured for the residents and family of the Bristal. She has a unique and charismatic way of keeping the residences engaged, uplifted and satisfied. Day in and day out she brings this wonderful energy and I can personally say that we all truly value her presence here. In closing, I myself enjoy being around her too and have learned to live better, love more and genuinely appreciate those around me more often, she truly is an example for others to emulate. -Laura Mermis
I attended a fundraiser on August 6th to Support my sister Jennifer from reflections and what I saw absolutely blew me away! This fundraiser was so amazing and it was so unbelievable to see all of the Support from the directors at the facility! The camaraderie among the staff was so heartwarming! The way that they care about the staff members and most importantly the residents warms my heart. Many of the residents were outside witnessing the fundraiser, and the expression on their faces was priceless! They had such a great time. I would like to give a shout out to the directors, Gina, Pam, Bruce, Andrea, Lindsay, Chris, Christopher, Curtis, Eileen, Nick, and to Jennifer from reflections! I cannot say enough about the staff at the Bristal in Jericho. They are absolutely spectacular and they go above and beyond! Best team ever!
I recently visited visited my grandmother in the reflection unit at the Bristol at Jericho, I could not believe what I saw my grandmother was a totally different woman she was singing and dancing in her chair from the singing and laughter from Jennifer. She has given life back into her living. She's an amazing employee and is top notch there's no one else like her amazing thank you to Jennifer and her team in reflections
