This place is wonderful- they put life into assisted living. My MIL is there - lots of great activities and outings. Great, caring staff.
I'm thankful for Mt View as my mom is doing quite well in the 8 months she has been a resident. She is thankful to have her own room. My mom has join in many activities bingo, excercise, crafts and trips. It's nice to see her have a social life. After my dad died 8 yrs ago I know she has been lonely. Yes she misses her home and driving but neither are possible. I'm glad that when I can't get into see her and an issue comes up ,the staff takes care of it. They are always helpful and friendly. I rest assured that I have put her in a good caring place. This week she is going on a jet boat (What?). You go mom!!! My mom's biggest complaint is luke warm coffee and some meals on the cool side. All in all I feel good about my mom, who means everything to.me ,is in a good place.
Don't hesitate to put your loved one here! My Mil has been here only 3 months and She loves it! They keep her busy. She has Bible study, bingo nights, movie nights and these are only the activities she participates in. They had stain glass classes and had Medieval Times dinner and play. Library, Yarn room, Game room, Gardens. They also bring different animals in for a visit. Last week she held a baby kangaroo!! She also loves the food. Soup, Salads and entree every lunch/dinner! One morning my Mil fell in her room. What was really great is that, they called 3-4 times even though she was fine. It means alot that they cared enough to let us know. Also it's nice that she gets her own room and Ac/heating unit. Alot of these places you share one. The staff is really nice to her. She has mobility issues but is all together mentally, so she would let us know. We feel good that we aren't just putting her somewhere to just sit in her room all day. I was a little worried about how many residents (150) thinking she might not get everything she needs but she does! I really thought this place was too good to be true. We are really happy with Mount View. Edit: It's been 2 years and still 5 stars. We talk to my MIL daily. She loves the food. Everything is homemade and she has so many choices. 2 cafeterias. They really try and keep my mil active. They suggest and motivate her. I think some of the staff are a bit rough around the edges but I think it's for the best. They know what they are doing. They have took all precautions with the coronavirus. I honestly don't think id want her anywhere else. Please! Keep up the Good Work!
There are a couple of nurses that are rude and nasty. They do not call when your parent has a fall or accident. The nurses do not call me because they think that I should not be bothered. They don't tell the resident or me about a scheduled doctor's appointment a day or two before they need to go, just come up to the room an hour before they need to go and tell them to get ready to leave. You can never get ahold of the case worker, leave messages for months with no reply. avoiding this place would be in anybody's best interest, because they certainly do not have the resident's best interest when it comes to their health and well-being.
Great place to be, great activities 😁 I've came a long way, thank s Mt.View. 9 years
