The nursing staff on the 3rd floor would greatly benefit from improving their professionalism. Professionalism is more than completing tasks — it’s about respect, communication, and showing genuine care toward patients and families and STAFF Unfortunately, I witnessed behaviors that came across as dismissive and unprofessional, which can seriously affect patient & Staff trust and comfort. I hope the staff takes this feedback as an opportunity to reflect and raise their standards, because patients deserve to feel they are in capable and compassionate hands of the “nurses” that’s been there many years.
I am so happy my in-laws found Lexington Square. They have a lovely independent living apartment and have found a community of friends to share meals and time together. We now have to work around their social schedule between bingo, special entertainment events and outings. Our family loves to visit and participate in the holiday and other special events. There is always something fun going on there. The residents and staff are so friendly and welcoming and we always feel right at home. We had high expectations and they have exceeded them!
I am care manager and have placed many clients at Lexington. I am impressed with the staff and the compassionate care that my clients have received. The food is delicious!
Two years ago, our mom was at a moment of wanting to be closer to our family and was deciding if purchasing a new home, renting an apartment, or looking into a 55+ community would be ideal. We toured and visited many of the options available for each of these, and we were fortunate to find a thriving and safe home within Lexington Square. She is so happy and content with her choice. Here are a few of our experiences: The staff: One of the first facets you will notice is the friendliness and the professionalism of the entire staff. Front office personnel, transportation drivers, housekeeping staff, food service personnel, senior helpers staff, maintenance personnel, medical staff, and entertainment staff all cheerfully greet you, assist you, answer your questions, explain things clearly, and welcome you. What was also important was knowing the staff's longevity within their roles at Lexington Square. Make it your own: Apartments are spacious and well-laid out, allowing you to have a lot of fun decorating your new home to your taste, from painting the walls to hanging your light fixtures. Our mom had her four chandeliers installed throughout her apartment and had the apartment painted to a color of her choosing. Along with granite counters in her kitchen, custom cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances, it feels like her personal home than a standard apartment. Pets: This was an essential point in our search, as our mom had her dog with her, and we wanted to ensure a community would be truly welcoming to pets. Not only is Lexington Square pet-friendly, but her dog is considered their "mascot" and is included in all of her activities. The Lexington Square building is always clean, and the landscaping and outdoor spaces, including the gazebo, pond, and patio, are available for all to enjoy while relaxing. The indoor pool, library, game room, and exercise room are worth visiting. Activities: A wide range of activities is offered each day. Community get-togethers, shopping trips, gardening, field trips (they recently went to Chicago for a tour and, of course, enjoyed a Chicago hot dog), card games, exercise within the pool and out, puzzles, social hour with musical entertainment, movies, a hair salon, a resale shop, arts and crafts, etc. are all available to enjoy. Dining: The meals are delicious, varied, and hearty. The desserts are always a highlight. All enjoy the wait staff, the service, and the atmosphere. Our mom is always complimenting the chefs on the taste, portions, and presentation of the meals. There's also a cafe that offers tasty popcorn and a variety of appetizing choices like pizzas, paninis, soups, and salads. Our mom highly encourages you to visit and experience Lexington Square for yourself.
My father moved into Lexington Square a few years ago and has found a wonderful community of friends in retirement. The activities, dining and swimming pool are his favorites. The staff continues to be wonderful and we know our father is well taken care of! The wonderful staff supported our family from day one and continue to do amazing work. Very grateful our father has a safe place to enjoy his retirement as his health needs change over time.
