Finding a place that you trust with your family is difficult, and my family is thankful for a caring home like Oostermans. My grandmother was in Oostermans for many years after her dementia caused her needs to not be met at home, and she was cared for when Kate and the Oosterman family were the owners and management. Sadly, since then we had a situation arise where we had to find similar care for my father, and the first (and only) place we felt comfortable with was Oosterman's, based on my Grandmother's history, and out experience with other rehabs and facilities. Ownership and management changed after his first year of residency, but staffing has actually increased and original staff still remain (Boumi is fantastic). They are and always have been much more like a home than a facility, and the staff is very friendly and interactive with the residents, and tries to be as flexible as possible with their needs and wants. They accommodate my brother and I taking my father in and out daily (or as much as possible), while he is still able to, and their value is unbeatable. We really don't know what we would do without them.
The first thing you notice when you walk into Oosterman's Rest Home is that it feels like a real home. It's warm and cozy and has a real charm to it. It's got a completely different feel from those big Assisted Living places. And it's a lot less expensive too.
Oosterman’s Rest Home is a wonderful place. So homey and comfortable. The staff is really friendly and they take great care of the residents.
