Aviva Merrillville This place takes such good care of their residents. They have great activities for everyone and they like getting families involved too. The place is always clean, neat, and well decorated. Special kudos to their activity guy.

When we visited this place, it was clean and smelled so nice. The activity department does so much to keep their people engaged and happy. With memory issues, it can be hard but the staff do such a good job. Thomas in Life Enrichment is the best, he makes sure everyone feels special and loved. I would suggest this place to anyone that is looking for a memory care place. Very clean.

Facility is very clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The residents are compassionately cared for. I would recommend Aviva to anyone who has a loved one in need.

Extremely nice facility. Didn't know about them until I stopped in. Latasha Rn. was helpful with giving me all information I needed and a tour. The building was clean and fresh smelling. Staff were polite.

"HELTER SKELTER " Residents yelling at each other. Residents talking incoherently, walking hallways, no socks no shoes.My love one was a resident for 1yr.(2024-2025). Conditions went from fair, bad,then horrendous. Inconsistent care: no accountability, no leadership. Stated amenities nonexistent: Laundry not washed weekly, clothes always piled up (families washing clothes) Room not cleaned weekly, trash not emptied dly Bed linen not changed weekly soiled linen not changed as needed Menu with choice of food nonexistent: exception special diet. All received same portions no seconds offered Mass exit of CNA'S every 3-4 months. Auxiliary help constantly leaving. One Star: the staff spoke respectfully & kindly to the residents.Exception, due to nepotism negative experience with CNA& FRIEND Too many negative incidents to stay. The FAMILY NEVER HAD PEACE OF MIND!!
