The Woods at Merrimack

Though The Woods wasn’t right for us right now, we were very impressed by the facility offerings and the staff. We particularly want to mention Anita Haqqi, who was so helpful in helping us understand how independent living works and the amenities at The Woods. Our biggest regret is that we won’t be spending more time with Anita, but if the occasion arises The Woods will be first on our list.

My father just moved into The Woods this week, and I highly recommend this community. My sister and I looked at many independent retirement communities and this was the nicest and found the rent and fees very reasonable for the high quality facilities and services offered to the residents. Anita provided us all the information needed to understand the process and expenses, she was extremely welcoming and there were no surprises. The size and layout of the place is really nice for elderly and anyone to navigate, the dining hall is gorgeous and sunny and dad has really been enjoying the meals there too. Lastly, and I think the best part, the residents and staff are super friendly and welcoming, happy environment for its residents and just a lovely place to call home! Highly recommended!

Place is is amazing. My in-laws moved in and can’t be happier. They have met so many wonderful friends and are busy with the activities every day. The social calendar is full of great events, field trips, and entertainment. The staff could nor me any more caring for the residents. The food is amazing and the have fun at happy hour. Bocce, horseshoes, putting green, pickle ball, movie theater, gym, billiards, activities. They even have a barber and beauty salon . Prices are the lowest we found after shopping 3/4 other communities.

My husband and I have lived here since January. We love it. Friendly staff. Lots of activities. Great community of caring, compassionate residents. At times, parking can be a challenge. Highly recommend to those looking for a place to live when transitioning from a home.

I am writing on behalf of my father who is a resident. He has settled in quite nicely in the community and is very happy. All of the residents are very welcoming. When my father is alone at dinner he is invited to sit with others. All of the residents look out for eachother. My father enjoys the activities and is benefiting from the exercise equipment. The food is healthy and there are always more than one option.The staff is so friendly and knows peoples names- I would highly recommend it.
